Update: New POT Party In New York Takes Responsibility For White Flags on Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn, NY- A group called the New POT Party or People Opposing Tyranny has claimed responsibility for placing white flags atop the Brooklyn Bridge. As we reported July 22nd, New York Police were surprised to find bleached white American flags on the bridge.
Now, a member of the New POT Party has claimed responsibility for the flags.
Rev. Budd Green, 49,says that several “anarchists who do this kind of thing for the thrill of it” climbed the bridge to put up the white flags.
He then explains that they planned to replace the white flags with two other flags. According to the post on Green’s blog:
On the night of July 22, brave members of the Pot Party and supporters of my candidacy for Prez in 2016 courageously climbed up and put up the new bleached flags. The original plan was then to replace the bleached flags with 2 new flags but the fascist police prevented us from doing it with their constant surveillance. The 2 new flags were gonna be the Pot Party flag which is a marijuana leaf with the revolutionary slogan Don’t Tread on Me to symbolize the beginning of a new American Revolution to be led by Pot Party Supporters.
To be clear, others have also claimed responsibility for the white flags but so far police have ruled them out. In Green’s case, he could not name the “brave members” of the party who had climbed the bridge.
“We wanted to put together a big media thing … We were hoping it would fade out after a couple days. But it really shocked people.”
