New Pop-Up Ads

I see pop-up ads have been added throughout the site.

They all appear to be done in Flash. That means they don't show up on iPad, iPod, or iPhone. And if you're like me, you use a Flash-blocker (e.g., ClickToFlash) with your browser on your computer. That's the one good thing about Flash -- it's easy to avoid. Someday advertisers will realize that Flash is on its way out, and they're missing a lot of potential customers. But until then, LONG LIVE FLASH!

I just did a preview and see the word "Flash" is tagged with an ad. Ironic that the ad for Flash is done in Flash. I wonder what it says. Not really.

Don't you think it's a bit rude to block that mofo? I mean comeon man.....he's a friggin SUPER-HERO. He deserves a bit better IMHO.

Really?!?!?! I'm the only one seeing them? Then Sam must be correct. It must be a new "feature" of my proxy. Have a dirty burger on me, Sam.

Please disregard what I said about pop-ups. At least it shows that I can get a laugh even when I'm not trying to. Now move along, there's nothing to see here.

Well, looks like the folks who run the proxy I use decided the tagged-word popups were not such a good idea after all. They're gone. And they've brought back the pop-behind windows. Can't decide which is more annoying, having every other word a rollover for popups or having to constantly close windows.

Also noticed recently that some links in ICMag don't work right as of the last week or so. I do a search, click on a link, and I'm taken to a completely different post. Same thing sometimes when I make a post. After I submit it, I'm taken to a completely different thread. Not sure if this is my proxy or something going on at ICMag.

Oops! Spoke too soon. Now I see the tagged words again. I need to find a different proxy.

It's your proxy....I've heard of other having similar problems when using proxy's. Not sure what they did to resolve it tho.
