New plants

Hi there, i am new to this site, and would like some advice if poss.. i would like to grow upto 2 plants at a time,, and i think best would be to buy some feminised seeds? also what kinda growing is best? hydro or soil? all gets rather technical with ph levels etc...
any advice would be great guys.

hey there grower glad to see ya here and welcome to icmag ... well fem seeds are good due to low number of plants ya growin .... um im really a soil guy but , you are talking about two plants and really i would go hydro .. you will get more ummm faster some would say ... but i really would veg them for a while. what kinda of lights and wattage are ya using . and how many sf are they going to be in .but fell free to come in the chatt room and ask around .. we are waiting on you there lol

these were a cross from a friend....the first plant is a mr nice.dreatime sativa pheno Xhemcy durban poison

and the other was a nirvana bubblegumXsame hemcy durban. these were test strains..im guessing i got aboout 2 and a half ounces ..i didnt take a final weight...soo im just estimating...by how much i think i smoked...but these were a test...im sure my next grow will blow this one away...and im sure if u had some nice strains u could get a nice harvest.

Hey man welcome to IC. I would say that if you are new to growing, Soil would be better for a beginner. It's just more forgiving. Hydro produces bigger plants faster but it's easier to make fatal mistakes. Feminized seeds are a good way to go if your only growing a couple of plants at a time. I grow in soil. Never tried hydro, it just seems like alot of work to me. Maybe one day if I have the time to devote to it and all the gadgets that go with it. With soil you just plant the thing,water it once a week or so, and after a couple of months you have bud. Easy.

try the fem seeds at seeds direct!! they have northern lightsXbig bud for cheap!!
got my last order in 5 days!!

What works best is what works best for YOU! you dont need to spend a lot of $$ to reap a great harvest!!

do some searching here, and definitely get a book or two!! a little planning/brainstorming may save you a lot of time & money later.

check out some of the test grows or posts with a grow from start to finish.

The easiest hydro imo, is a DWC do a "search" and you'll get loads of info and pics. Its cheap to start up and gives great results. The ph and ppm stuff isn't that hard to learn after all you've got help here too! Welcome and enjoy your first harvest!
