hi everybody.. over at TY.com, they are raving about a new product, "Shitz" by CamelGrowJoe..
Its like $5 a box and comes in grow and bloom formula, primarily for soil or soilless mediums..

CamelGrowJoe said:
With just 125g of The Shitz(approx. $5.00 retail or less depending on size) your plants have enough nutes from seed to harvest, never do you have to flush, never any chemicals, with all the same benefits of those expensive nutes.

A quick Shitz feeding schedule, nice and easy

Add 25g of Growth Blend to 4L of any type of soil mix.
Add cutting or seedling, and just plain H20 every watering.
Wait 14 to 20 days
Add 25g more of Growth Blend as a top dressing.
Wait another 14 to 20 days
Add 25g of Bloom Blend to 4L more of any type of soil mix and re-pot to flower
Every 14 to 20 days add 25g of Bloom Blend as a top dressing until harvest.
Always just use plain H20

Any comments/ideas? I currently use ff or pbp, think this is comparable.. ?

Well if you have to put more of it on all the time then surely it's just like any other fert isn't it?? Not sure what's great about that :chin:

I imagine with a name like that your marketability is somewhat limited.

And hasnt everyone tried their other product, Fuct ?

ty.com = beanie babies... wtf am I missing?

It does sound good, all the NPK you really need, prolly some built in Microbial Content (as long as they dont pasteurize the worm castings etc.)

My favorite as it contains all my babies need, including beneficial Mycorrhizae Fungi and Bacteria:

FoxFarm
Peace of Mind
Organic Fruit & Flower Fertilizer
5-8-4
Enriching the soil first is the foundation of organic gardening. Peace of Mind works in harmony with nature to gently release nutrition over time as well as encouraging millions of beneficial soil microbes to flourish. These micro-organisms help convert the organic fertilizers into food that is immediately available to plants. Shrubs and flowers will have robust vitality, enhanced color, and become more disease resistant. Peace of Mind enhances fruit and vegetable production creating higher yields, sweeter flavors, and brings more nutrition to your table.
Rich in humic acid and mycorrhizae, Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer is specifically designed to supply nitrogen for early season growth and a higher percentage of phosphorus to increase luscious fruit and flower development. This blended formula will encourage healthy root systems, larger bud set, and multiple branching.

All Peace of Mind formulations contain powerful root stimulators called mycorrhizae fungi. Mycorrhizae occur naturally in forest soils where the humus content is high and the soil is thriving with microbial life. Once in contact with a plant's root system, mycorrhizae go to work right away colonizing directly onto the roots. This activity dramatically expands both primary and secondary root development enabling the plant to take up more nutrients.

Guaranteed analysis of 5.00% Water Insoluble Nitrogen; 8.00% Available Phosphoric Acid; 4.00% Soluble Potash; 7.87% Calcium; and .85% Water Soluble Magnesium derived from feather meal, bone meal, hydrolyzed fish, fish meal, fish bone meal, sulfate of potash magnesia, alfalfa meal, blood meal, bat guano, rock phosphate, kelp meal, and gypsum. Also contains 1.5% humic acid (derived from Leonardite) and Mychorrhizae.

For new container plants, add 1 tablespoon of Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer per gallon of soil. After three to four weeks use established plant application rate. For established container plants, apply monthly throughout the growing season. Use 1/2 cup per plant for plants up to two feet tall; 3/4 cup per plant for plants between 2 and 3 feet tall; 1 1/2 cups per plant for plants between 3 and 5 feet tall; and 3 cups per plant for plants taller than 5 feet.

For new in ground plantings, dig a hole 2-3 times larger than the root ball. Add 1/4 cup Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer per 5 gallons of compost enriched soil. After three to four weeks use established plant application rate. For established in ground plants, feed monthly throughout the growing season. Use same application rates as for containerized plants above.

For new row plantings, prepare soil with compost and add 1/2 cup of Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer per 10 square feet of planting area. After three to four weeks, use established plant application rate. For established row plantings, apply monthly throughout the growing season, using between 2 and 3 cups per ten square feet of planting area.

I get it for about $8 a 4lb box.

Sta-Green All Purpose Potting Mix is my base potting soil as it contains all the basics: Composted Forest Products, Peat Moss (and humus?), Perlite, Wetting Agent, Stay Moist Crystals, Lime, Light chem ferts, etc.

I used to use Fox Farm Ocean Forest exclusively, but it's too expensive, too hard to find and Sta-Green is cheap and readily available at Lowes.

But I use a lot of crap in my soil mix in addition to the Sta-Green. I'm doing an experiment now to see if its all worth it: http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=17373
