I live in a three decker building and the lady on the first floor still uses a regular over air antenna which is on the roof. Well I just found out today that my blue lumatek is interfering with the signal. I/m on cable and the people below me are on satellite and I haver never incurred this problem so I guess its back to magnetic ballast for the time being

are you sure your new ballast isnt faulty?

as theres many people happy with theres...

I bought it last may and have been using it regularly without issue. the problem is that 99.9% of houses are on cable or satellite which doesn't pose any issue with these things. I just happened to live were one of the tenants are still using an antenna. As soon as the antenna guy trip the breaker that the ballast was on her picture cleared up. I told him my wireless router was on that circuit. lol

Nothing is wrong with the ballast. Lumateks, although very good and reliable do put out a considerable amount of EMI. I have one running in my garage which causes noise on a cable TV about 20ft away as well as one in my house. Maybe you can find a different circuit to connect it to. Since when is an antenna connection noise free? I say screw that old lady and keep running it. Although people snooping around for an issue could be bad too...

you may have an older lumatek manufactured in 2006. the 2007 models are supposed to have no problems with interference.

What I need is a shielded lamp cord. I'm sure the ballast itself is shielded , but if there isnt any shielding in the cord itself it doesn't do much good
