new lumatek 400w hot??

i just got a 400w lumatek with a hortilux hps bulb and the ballats is kinda hot around 120 ish degrees, anybody have this experience with lumatek?

I have a 120v/400w lumatek and that seems pretty hot. Is it in a tight area or something?

sounds reasonable to me, how did you get the heat measurement.

yup-easily 120 at times and at then it drops down about 30-35 degrees at other times-i'm gonna ask the dude about it but its probably normal
