New light relay system

if you have 2 rooms these would be the best way to keep power requirements down, but really they are no more efficiant than running double the ballasts for half the time, dollar value wise.

these are meant to keep power spikes down , and run in old buildings were electical is not up to par, or if you have small room, seperate breeding room etc, no real reason to run one otherwise imo.

I believe its nothing more than DPDT(Double Pole Double Throw) relays with the timer controlling the relays. If I can find the thread on here about these I will post the link. The more lights you plan to flip-flop the more relays you need. If you're not comfy with electricity go for the store bought brand otherwise, you can build one for much less. Don't forget you can also use it to flip-flop your fans and other elctrical devices as well as the lights to your 2 different rooms.

Yes, kootenay has a really nice pic setup where he used these dpdt relays in a large canister, to control a ton of lights in flip flop.
