Hey there ICMAG'rs!

Im new here, I used to be on OG all the time before it went down. I have been layin low for a year [not growin] mostly cause of $$$ issues. I am a small personal grower, this well be my 2nd official grow... my first grow was bubba kush and dr.chronics... very easy to grow the dr.chronics stuff...

This time im going with straight BB from dutch passion seeds. SO here is my box at the end of week 5 veg... i plan on letting them go another week then switchin to flower... what do you think? The internodes are already heavily alternating, so i figure it about time...

So heres some background on my setup: basically i built an airtight box and lines it with mylar, and caulked it [airtight] i cut a hole in the bottom right and have a vent up top with a cooltube on the 250HPS. Running 20/4 lighting in veg, all foxfarm soil and nutes :) temp kept at 75F / 50% rh or more

Questions:

1. How u think the babies look for this stage?

2. In the pics its about time for a nuted watering, but i noticed after i added the mylar the leaves got MUCH greener like almost lime or neon green... im not sure if its from added light or some kinda nute deficiency {N?} thoughts?

3. I have been lightly trimming larger fanleaves to expose internodal growth the light- i was wondering how this effect the plant, does it slow growth for a period after the trim? I dont plan on trimming anymore til i have sexed these - they are completely mystery sex right now...

thanks for the help lookin forward to learnin alot here :)

P.S. - i know the baby on the back right dont look so good, but im trying to nurse it... :(

They are probably lightening up due to a lack of nitrogen from not giving any extra nutes. Give them some vegging ferts and they will be fine.

I think with the size of the cab you should flower them. They are going to get out of hand before long. I also would leave the fan leaves alone for now. They feed your plants....

thanks JJ, good advice, im gonna NUTE them with some FF nutes today [it says every other watering, last watering was un-nuted]..

After i find the females im gonna TP to 5gal containers, im only flowering 4 to completion... hopefully i can get 4 fems out of the 6 in there... i know its unlikely but :crosses fingers:

I got about 33" of flowerable height the plants are around 10-12" right now... i was gonna flip them in a week [or when they hit 15"] you think theyll be too big by then? I just wanna maximize my space, thats something i really failed to do on my last grow and i paid the price in yeild...

thanks again!

It will be close with the height that you have. When they start getting close to the light, it will get hotter. It might be better to flower now....

JJ- Yeah by 33" flowering height i mean i have 33" from the top of pot to the top of the plant while keeping the plants 12" from the light... so i do have a true 33" of pure flowering height...

Im really trying to maximize yeild... last grow i did 4 fems under the same light, smaller box, finishing around 2' in 3gal containers and yielded 9z dry.... hoping to get something like 12-16z dry this time... thus the longer veg time and finishing in 5gal pots....

Any other tips you can think of? i just watered with a good ferting of FF Grow Big in distilled water [only water i feed my babies :) ]

thanks :)

yeah you like those heart boxers :p

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys... Is dolomite lime a liquid or like a powder? Here is a shot of the whole box so you can see how much room i have total.... with this amount of space do you think i can still veg 1 more week?

Keep in mind the fems wil be moving to 5gal containers which are a good bit bit taller than what thay are in now... but as you can see they got some room, and i wanna maximize the space :)

the roots are getting pretty crammed up [they are spillin out the drainage holes in the pots!] so im gonna bet that as soon as they move to the 5gal containers they will literally explode!

dolomite lime is a powder. I believe the regimen is 1tsb per 1 gallon of soil.
