new growth bright green and droopy

i received this clone about 2 and a half weeks ago. the new growth is much brighter green than the mature leaves and everything is looking really droopy. i know i havent overwatered because i let the medium get fairly dry before i give any water. the plant already stinks btw :) i think she will be a good one. just please let me know if these droopy leaves are an issue or just a lot of weight for such a tiny plant...

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on? weekish
What STRAIN are you growing? AK 47
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) clone
What is the age of your plants? month and a half from clippings
How Tall are the plants? 1/2 foot maybe
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? veggy
What Technique are you using? probably going to do some LST and SCROG
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 2 1/2 gallon

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
organic potting mix, perlite, vermeculite (2-1-1)

What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? PBP not giving this one any nutes yet

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? Unknown
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? 6.1
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? pH pen
How often are you watering? Every 3-4 days
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?

What size bulb are you using? 200w CFL 5000K
What is the distance to the canopy? 8-9 inches
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) 40-55%
What is the canopy temperature? 79-80
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) 70-75
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) Unknown

Is the fan blowing directly at plants? slightly above
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? No
Is your water HARD or SOFT? tap left out for 24 hours...
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Tap run through filter

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched? No
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? No
Are plant's infected with pest's? No, but they have a few signs of some leaves being used as lunch before i got her

ANY nutes, is better than none! Just make sure you start feeding GENTLY and the Nitrogen will green her up a bit. Nute BURN will show as yellow tips on the fan leaves.

Is the cfl REALLY 200w? or is it EQUIVALENT to 200W? You need cfls to be within 6''-8'' to be effective at all.

so i fed her twice now and still no improvement. she is still growing, but the new growth is still really light green. i think my soil pH is too high. what do i do with this medium to lower pH most cost effectively?

yo. Did you ever fix this problem? I've got the same thing going on all my plants and its been happening for ages now, I think its got something to do with the light. I thought it was ph for a while too, but its just not getting better

It very well could be your water.. If you are using tap water. You may want to look into a Reverse Osmosis. Also check the PH of the nutrient water, and run off. Also the soil itself. This will give you the most accurate information. If its not your ph, it could be a heavy dose of calcium from the water or some other nutrient already added. R/O/ system should fix that.

But why do you think its light? What are you using? How much of a distance is your light? because light bleaching is an option..

I notice in this guys sets of pictures, the new growth is standing right up as if she is growing just fine... but the upper leaves including the new growth tip is yellow. Leading me to believe possible light bleach from a HPS.

SCF, the reason I'm starting to think my problem maybe light related is for starters, I'm pretty confident the soils in pretty good shape, I let it dry out nicely, havent fed it for quite a while, watered with ph 6.5 water, and she's still pretty droopy. The other thing is I just put a seedling into the main chamber from my smaller 'germination' chamber and within a day it went from looking so good to starting to droop. I changed it back to the small chamber this morn and tonight it looks great again. Maybe it was too young, but I dunno.
In the main chamber I'm running a 400w vertically in the centre in a cooltube. Its only about 10 inches from my plants, but the temps are only like 70 degrees.

That all said the girls are starting to pick up a little, so maybe I jsut havent waited long enough. Also any pics I have seen of light bleaching have some quite distinct yellow patches which I dont have.

Check out my thread if you want, I'll upload some updated pics soon to have alook at the progress

I forgot another piece of evidence that suggests its not light- I already grew three healthy plants with this set-up. They turned out to be males so I chucked them, but they grew fine.

I think over the course of these two posts I've reconvinced myself its nots the light. I just gotta wait longer

Very good my friend. Its funny with a little investigative thinking we can figure things out.. because only we know what are garden is like most.

But here is my suggestion. Sounds like you are putting the plants in the main chamber too soon. the light from before was way too week. And sometimes you will give some stress doing this. Causing slight lightness or discoloration, then Boom... it should turn dark green in a week or so.

If you need any more help. Please feel free to "holla" also im assuming the ventilation and air movement is great in the main chamber ;)

Edit: May i add she can probably use a 1/4 dose of some nutrients.

Shit man, couple of sherlocks here- I was just thinking that about switching them to the main chamber myself, I think you've got a point. I'm going to experiment with my this next wee baby and keep her in as long as I can. The bummer is I built it a bit small and then annoying shit comes up where I have to go away so I panic and change them to the fully automated room to early. But thats another story I'm sure no ones that interested in...
Anyways my two girls really do look like they're on the mend, so I think I'll leave this poor dudes thread alone and go back to my own!

Thanks for the input scf
