new grower with bad luck

Hi all first time here just want to show off I'm coming from RIU. This is my second ever grow. My first go round I killed about 5 plants and the two that I had lef.t tribes out to be male. So for my second grow I'm doing a 12/12 from seed in ffof this seed has been a test subject and started after I thought I had dropped and lost a seed in the vortex of my carpet, but low and behold it had fallin into a pot that already had a plant growing in flower. So it sprouted and I just started messing with it. Folair feeding it, giving it full str nutes and what not but it just keep on growing so yea it is now my main plant till all my new Dwc stuff comes in.

I started off with RIU, and based on the dubious advice of one of the active moderators there, promptly killed over 2 dozen plants. Dude thinks he *really* knows his shit, but the only thing he can talk about is NPK and all the shit he buys while he's on disability.

So do you have a question or something?? I've killed plenty of plants when I was starting out...be happy you don't have to duct tape seeds to your ball sack and have to rely on some shitty book by Ed Rosenthal.

Wow friendly people here...I was just saying hi and that I'm new. This plant was just a test subject. 12/12 from seed looked like a cool idea to try out while I wait for final setup stuff to roll in.

as a new grower i'd strongly recommend you investigate hempy-buckets as DWCs can be a very unforgiving method if you are unfamiliar with all the variables that can go wrong, ...i'm not saying it can't be done, i'm just saying that, as a new grower, you would be better off with hempy's as you will get very nearly the same growth rates in a much more forgiving style.

...i grew DWC for about a year myself so i'm not just talking out my tush, with DWC you have to pay pretty close attention to variables like dissolved oxygen, ph swings, reservoir temperature, etc, etc, etc. ...with hempy's you can pretty much ignore most of that stuff and still get hydro results.

hempy's are great for new growers and lazy growers, ...i happen to be one of the latter.

Don't feed babies that are in FF. There are enough nutes in it already to sustain for a while. Just some good ol ph'd water will do. Trust me, I learned the hard way.

dont do 12/12 from seed and dont foliar feed,, even in late veg/very early flower it is better to feed the roots than spraying nutes on leaves,,

all growing is trial and error, just make sure you learn from your mistakes..

and welcome to icmag, it is much nicer place,, i was appalled just recently when i went onto riu to look at a breeders thread at just how shitty people were to each other and when someone acted nice and informative everyone pounced on them,, what a bunch of trolls..

I'm enjoying the ride, there is always something new to learn and that keeps it interesting. I generally feel crap when my ladies are struggling, but nothing better than seeing them thrive.
