New grower...first grow help

This is my first grow ever and was needing help immediately. One of my plants over night went droopy. Everything was going well until this morning. I have the plants in a 3 gallon container (which they have been in for a few weeks now). I am using 75% Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil and 25% Fox Farm Light Warrior soil. I am using rain water collected from outside which has worked great for me so far. I have these plants stored in a 2x2x4 grow room that has ventilation and a fan inside. The Ph is currently at 8 which is a bit high. Any suggestion why the plant went wayside (droopy) overnight and how can I correct this problem before my plant(s) die.

watered it this morning. Just appears dry in the picture. I had a run-off of water so I know its definitely Ok as far as water goes.

if you just watered it this morning it may not perk up until later tonight or tomorrow.

it's also a bit hot in there. coupled with the low RH, the plant will be transpiring water quickly... and you get the droop.

try to lower temps if you can. with the watering this morning she should perk up soon. let us know.

Just because you have run off does not mean you are OK as far as water goes. Used to think the same thing until I realized my soil was so compacted that the water was just running down the sides of the pot. Maybe try poking your soil with a chopstick in a few places and then water it. Or, you could squeeze your pots to loosen up the compaction. My guess is the water is not soaking into the core of your pots where most of the roots are leading your plant to droop from no h20

^^^a fork works too if you aint got no chop sticks. yeah thats definitly a dry plant...maybe water a little more often... Dont let the soil get that dry. A good way to tell if your water is soaking in is to pick up the pot after you water, if its still lite the soil hasnt soaked in and give it more water till its heavy.

I agree, it does look like lack of water droop. Ya really need ta get yer temps down too. Also, point yer fan up away from the plants, or blowing straight across -over- the tops of the plants, but not right on em. By having it blowin down directly on them yer suckin the heat off the light an puttin it right on the plants. Prolly why they're dryin out so fast..... I would also suggest that you get a water bottle with a pull up push down type of top on it. They are very gentle and wont blow the soil out. Water them all evenly over the whole surfice of the soil with a small amount, wait and let it soak in fer 3-4 minutes and water again slowly till ya have run off. Good luck! let us know how it goes so others may learn from it too. BC
