Hello Icmag i have started some seeds from Humboldt seed org - the new 2/3 Bubbas gift 2/2
& OGKZ 4/5 all of them are in root riots

My question is how far should i keep 96watt T5 from
Top of seeds. I was thinking 4ins (10cm)

I plan on potting up from root riot to 1lt pots.

Once the plants are up a bit i will be feeding
Buddha's tree Nutrients & addatives

Atb Pinkfan.

Seed Whore
Another good guide is also placing your hand near the top of a plant. If the light is too close
it will feel too warm. Baby plants don't need super light intensity to get them going. After a
week bring the light down to maybe 6 to 8 inches away depending if it's warm.

Go slowly and all will be well.

Well my brand new T5. 2 of the bulbs stopped working so i replaced the bulbs still didnt work
It must be the ballast. Because all the bulbs are working on the left side of the T5. And seedlings
Are stretching. My only option is to use my Adjustawing 315cmh over my seedlings but does anyone no how far i should keep it from them
This is my first run

Pinkfan,

By 315CMH do you mean a 315 watt Ceramic Metal Halide?

Any light will work... a 315 watt mh could get pretty hot, but ive heard the cmh's run much cooler. Really as long as its not uncomfortably warm to set your hand where the canopy of your plants are and leave it there for awhile, things will be fine. I would guess may 12-15 inches at least for that 315. Its a pretty versatile plant. Nothing set in stone.. just make em comfortable.

Ive heard that the Bubbas gift can be tricky to grow, like that its a picky feeder and doesnt like temp swings etc. But i have NEVER grown it and I am by no meams a professional. However growing in soil is defi itely much more forgiving about such things. Enjoy the process and youll do fine.

The Ladies under that 315 will reward you for your patience :smokeit:
