hello this is my first thread on this board. before i was on OG i was reading thread i readed ton of stuff there i moved to this board to continue my project but now here it is



mother chamber : 250watts MH 2'x4'x4'


bloombox 4'x4'x4' 1x 400watts MH&HPS + 250watts MH + can filter



whole box is scealed air & light proof i exaust by a windows with an 178 cfm canfan 4" hope my blower will evacuate all the hot air loll



the thing im still not sure is about the intake hole i done 1 x 4" hole in each left panel for air intake should i put 1 more hole in each panel for best result or ill leave it like that well..

there some more other thing i may need help is about a small electric panel for my box i got 240volt access and 120volt access all i need to plug is my canfan 2x 250watt and a 400watt and some ocillating fans.
also how could i block light from getting in between mother and bloom section i dont wanna spend 50$ of pvc for only 1 intake lol...

for a new start i got some strain

here a update i gave to the babies a drop of liquid karma and a drop of grozym in 2 liters bottle.








i got something to ask ya guys / girls is the picture below ( the setup) is great i want to change my 400 & 250 of the flower chamber and add a 178cfm canfan plus a cooltube.. look at this give me comment

hey ,
you should add another intake hole so that your intake area is twice the size of the outlet area. so yea i'd add another 4" hole down the bottom.

if you dont want to buy pvc just use some of the flexible ducting you have to make a light proof duct between the two sections. you could paint the inside of the pvc or duct black and have it bent down towaards the ground in the mother section so the light doesnt go into the flower chamber.
here are my intakes, they are PVC and only cost a few dollars, def not 50 so dont worry. just experiment see what works for you...


looking at your diagram are you sayin you want to put a 1000watt light in that box? i think that might be a bt ambitious dude.. stick to the 400watt and check the temps. what temps are you running now?

a 4x8 table use 2x 1000watters so i though that a box of 4x4 would run pretty with a single lamp if i let the light hanged to the top this will be optimal why do this will run hot if there a cooltube?

alright thankyou man i readed on the bottle they were saying 5ml per galon of liquid karma and grozym i gave them only a drop of each in a 2Lts bottle but i will follow someone that got some grow under his belt. about the light is this 1000watter in a cool tube is possible because the faq said that a 1000watt cover 4x4 area and that the size of my bloom section.

the 1000 would work in that space....the only problem is the heat. i dont believe that those 2 fans will be enough to cool it....especially w/ the carbon filter too.

i will find a chart i have and post it in here for ya to look at. it compares wattage of bulb to cfms required for enough cooling.

as you can see in order to keep temps 10 degrees about the ambient temps your gonna need at least 320cfm...thats without the filter too.

might think about an upgrade in the fan department..
other than that...once you get this baby going its gonna be CRAZY!!! i cant wait.

so i would need a 6" one after the scrubber for better performance but with 2x 4" 178 cfm i get 356 and in the chart its 320 ..? isnt that good? and i was thinking of adding a 4'' passive intake at the bottom of the vege side that go into the right bloom side floor with a duct of 4" maybe inline fan too?

your right that the 356 is enough for the light...but you also have a filter....this cuts back on air flow a good deal. thus why you need the added cfm. i would get a bigger fan to cool the light by itself.

i also just noticed something in your drawing.....where do you take air from the cab and run it rhough the filter....
looks like the air runs all the way through and then through the filter....filtering unsmelly air.
you need to pull the air from the cab through the filter.

i would get a fan to cool the 1000 and use the other can fan for the filter...

my intake are passive the blower will be for out-take .yeah i could upgrade the fan for a 6" near the window the 2 blower would be enough 449 + 178 cfm :O

im getting flower side hot air from filter and the hot air of flower is taken form a passive intake of the veg side then there another 4" hole in the bottom left side

but a 4' by 8' table is generally a table in a larger room , not closed into a box\cab design. but of course by all means give it a shot man it'll be cool if it works.

nice bro...lookin real good.
that new drawing really helps me understand what you meant with your intake system. would you be able to put the 6" right after the filter?? i havent used one before but i know that it takes alot to get good air flow. i was thinking maybe put the 6" after it and then it will have a really good/strong suction, then put a smaller can fan at the end just to help pull it the rest of the way out...just a thought. might try it both ways to see which one works better, air flow wise.
