New Grow

This baby showed above soil yesterday and today this is what it looks like. I've grown for hobby a couple times before but never got plants more than a foot. This seed comes from good weed tho from a couple years ago, one crack of the jar and my whole apt would stink up instantly. :tiphat:Out of a qp I only found one bud with seeds. Other smaller ones are growing in another pot but this is the best one.

Hey man good to see another grower getting into it. What type of soil did you use? If it was a decent potting mix the nutrients in the soil should be enough to sustain it for quite awhile. Also, you don't have to be a big spender to get good results: last summer I was low on dough as well and got the little $5 box of Expert brand 15-30-15 from wally world and mixed in some manure ($4 at cheapo depot). Espoma Garden Tone is about $12 and a lot of soil growers supplement with that. With such a small plant I'd feed maybe once a week with a very diluted mixture until it has established strong roots. Hope this helps brotha

I'm using Miracle Grow Organic soil and regular perlite 3 to 1 ratio. and they are getting all they daylight they can get and a few extra hours of cfl.

I counted 8 seedlings in total... the seeds that didn't show tails in water I planted anyway and it looks like they're all growing. I watered with molasses water this morning and it will be plain water till next week & I'll probably only do 1tbsp from now on.

They look healthy to me, I'd say your doing well with water and molasses and prob have a couple weeks before they start asking for any food, the miracle grow has plenty of nutrition for such a small plant. Good luck!

another seedling popped up in the main pot this afternoon... i was like Nooooo cause its super close to another seedling and i didn't want to dig it up.. i Just hope they all are female

new guy here, a former USmarine
looking forward to following your growth.
i have 10 seeds just sprouting also....

From only two 2 seeds that germinated in water, looks like all of them are growing after all being planted. Goes to show you shouldn't discard seeds if they don't germinate in paper towel or water. Always plant them. This is just the main pot.

when the sun goes down they are under a simple 23w porch light but for tonight and the rest of days that its cold they will also be under my kitchen lights which are 4 x 4ft fluorescent tubes. in the kitchen on top of my table they will still be 4ft away from the lights.

i've tried this method thru a winter before and got plants that were 3ft or 4ft after 3 months from seed but they were some dank sour diesel bagseed.

yeah just cause of the cold right now.. if not they'd still be sitting on top of my bbq grill where there are too keep cats away. but when they get taller i wont want them sticking out too much so i have to come up with a new device or keep them inside.

well i don't really care if i get trichs or not just want some bud to smoke for like a week to enjoy but i'm trying to do the outdoor thing for real cause it makes sense don't you think with south texas sun? i think i'll have to end up moving these plants to my friends house miles away because he is the only one i know who grows outdoors but he doesn't take it seriously either.... sigh... oh and if i could take at least one good cutting from the best plant and keep it going thats the main goal i think... because i really liked this stuff
