New grow space design suggestions?

Hey Everyone,

I am looking at moving into a new space that will allow me a 10'x20' or maybe even 12'x20' of space for: mamma's, cloning, veg & flower.

I would like to have three separate flower spaces each running a 6 site RDWC setup based on Snype's system. Each space would be 5'x6' and be lit by two 600watt HPS.

I have grown in a 5'x5' tent as well as a 9'x9' bedroom in the past. I am concerned that 5'x6' may be too small for 6 plants.

I have attached a draft floor plan to illustrate what I have in mind.

I would sure appreciate any suggestions regarding layout and space.

Thanks

FJ

Hey I wanted to bump your thread because it asks some good questions. I downloaded the .pdf and checked it out. The first suggestion I would make is that since you don't seem to worry about stealth once you enter the main room, you could have each of the reservoirs for the RDWC pods which are under light currently, moved outside of the grow space with a foot or two extra piping, and without having to upgrade the pump power. This minimizes temps and humidity inside the grow spaces, and allows reservoir maintenance without entering the lighted space. Second, I would either make a fourth partition for the ebb and drain table or get rid of it- it doesn't seem an efficient use of space. I would likely use that space instead for a dedicated mom room to prepare for continual harvest, and clone moms end up taking a lot of space. In fact, I would probably go SOG in 2 gallon pots- even RDWC- as many as 20 plants under each 600 watt pair, if not more. just my 2 cents, others here have more knowledge. Peace.

Not sure what the end game is or the exact desire. Also what is the electrical capability.

But I would make two flower rooms of equal size. When you walk in the flower rooms would be to the left and veg in the open space. Flower running 30 days apart for a perpetual harvest, one room on, one room off to maximize electrical capacity.

The suggestion about building to light footprint is wise no matter what you do

Thanks for the suggestions. I like your idea of the RDWC control bucket outside of the flower room. As far as the flood table goes, I am looking to emulate Snype's setup for veg A & veg B. I will be sharing that space with the clone Momma's per the drawing.

The reason for three flower spaces is to accommodate 2 weeks of veg B in the flower room before going 12/12.

I have run two flower spaces trying to achieve a 30 day turn and never managed to do any better than a 40-45 day turn. I think with 3 flower spaces I can manage a 30 day turn.

I am finally beginning to build the new space.

As far as power goes, I have a 200 amp service shared with a modest residence. Current usage is minimal. I would have no problem supporting 6kw in lights plus support & HVAC loads.

Three flower rooms will allow a 30 day turn (see above post).
