New grow got questions about clones and mother plant?

I just joined this site in hopes to learn more about cannabis cultivation. Right now i have 4 clones. What would be the best route to go if im trying to speed up the process. Should i grow out these 4 clones then use it as the mother plants and then take clones off of it and flower those clones or should i grow these 4 clones out and right before i flip them to 12/12, take cuttings from each and use those cuttings as my mother? Im planning on keeping the genetics of these 4 clones around so i need a mother plant of each i just want to know what would be the best method of doing this?

Take a few from each as soon as you can to make moms from .2 or 3 from each plant & pick the best one from each plant after thier rooted & growing to be your mom .

then grab clones from the same plants right before you put them into flowering so you have plants for your next cycle while the moms are growing & being trained .

2 weeks to root 2 weeks in a cup for more roots then 4 weeks veg time & they'll be ready for flowering when the first ones are done .
by the time your second cycle is put in flower your moms should be ready to give you clones for the 3rd cycle .

pretty easy ... just gotta get a cloning technique figured out & you'll be good to go .

always take more clones than you'll need .... pick the best growing ones to veg & then flower out . just toss the rest ... or give to another grower ... whatever .

good luck dude :)

Thats a good way of going about it, i'll have to give that a shot, i notice the part where u said to put them into small plastic cup to get more roots. I got these clones from a dispensary over here with well visible roots the clones are about 6" all together . I should have transplanted them into these small cups first instead i went ahead and put them in these square pots that are 10" tall and 7" wide. Would this cause any harm to the clones?

thats just fine dont transplant more than you have to i would suggest cutting the bottoms out of those containers when you go to transplant and let them sit in your new pots. when they look good and settled (couple weeks) clip the side of the containers and pull them out. less stress for the ladies the faster they will grow.

yeah they'll be fine in those pots , just transplant to your bigger pots a week or 2 before you put them into flowering unless they get rootbound first . good luck dude .
