Why hello there, I am new to icmag, but not so new to the growing scene.

I've mostly been on an invite only forum but decided to remove myself from the scene and also had to withdraw from growing for a good year or so. Life kinda smacked me around a bit, with a car accident regarding my house, plus I welcomed two daughters into the world.

Time, is a real bugger these days, but, I have the grow itch again.

Some may know me, maybe not, but I love to grow, find good genetics and share the fruits of my harvests.

I'm mainly an indoor grower, or at least I used to be. Last few grows I did were outdoors. Problem is, I've missed this season, and I can't grow in the new house (wife's rules).

So I need to find an alternative, like my shed or something. I have way too many seeds to just age and drift into oblivion, and we do NOT want that. (Seed whore sad face)

So, big hello to those that may know me, and a big hello to those that don't.

Lol never heard of you or MOB OG, hello. I’ve selected many purple strains and love true purples such as your pics, that girl part Thai?

So the MOB was given to nbweedguy from highrise seeds, by a fellow named Krk, I do believe as s1's, and then was selected/crossed to a GDP Ken's OG and then taken to F2, then a selection was made and S1'd again in the f2 line.

I'm not sure there's many of these s1's from the f2 left in nbweedguy's hands, but I think I'm holding around 15 left in my stash.

Just the most in your face blueberry smells. The smoke is kinda sweet tasting I find.

I ended up pollen chucking a few males to that purple MOB OG in my OP to a reservoir seeds sour diesel male in the f6 line, a moxie turquoise jeep f1 male and to a bunch of schroomy's schromfrost f2 males. Just a bunch of silly bs in the early days I had around playing with making seeds.

The mob you speak of is the Mother of all Berries? I would love to get my hands on a nug. Blueberry strains can be so hot or miss, MOB I believe is a green plant, which makes me think it’s old school blueberry (90’s). I work with a pre 98 blueberry as does another breeder I know (different cuts). There is a huge difference in that old school blueberry smell vs the 2000ish and beyond F5 blueberry that’s purple.

I’m currently in F2 on a blueberry project I’m working on. Working to creat 2 strains out of one cross because that blueberry needs to be in seed form.

I would love to find an old head holding that MOB cut m, said to be a NE strain.

I've heard it called different names.
Mother of berries.
Maines own best.

The one I showed is strong/loud wild blueberries. Tastes really sweet too which I don't care for, but the smell is just so strong and distinct wild BB.

It leans mostly indica/couch lock type thing, but the taste is way over the top sweet. Especially in joints when she juices up.

The MOB cut KRK got was from Maine If I recall correctly and said it was kept for many years.

Nbweedguy did the cross to GDP OG kush and made s1's from a keeper in the F2's. I think he also did a bunch of regs and has his MOB OG up to f6 now in that format. I keep a good chunk of the s1s from his MOB f2 keeper. The purple is major dominant trait, even in crosses.

Krk hated the purple strains and usually only grows the green MOB as he says it's more potent.
