Yo mang, Maiden rules! Have you seen the movie Spun? Billy Corrigan from Smashing Pumpkins remakes "The Number of the Beast" as a folk song! Got to love it - just proves the lyrical quality of Maiden's work.

For those of you who want to grow Purple pineberry just a word of caution. It is a beautiful plant but its potentcy is not the greatest. It has very good mold resistance and is quite bulky. TT is a wonderful strain if you can get the real deal. By the way Phrank that pic of that bud is Reclining Buddha from vision creator .

Hey everyone, I was just browsing the thread and I was wondering what some of you guys actually use to amend you soil or if you buy pre mixed soil, I will be doing an outdoor this year, and I want to have a good start any info is much appreciated... I was planning on just using Fox Farms Ocean Forest so give me some info guys!!

Herbal...save yourself some money and just get Fox Farms Marine Cuisine(lol, think thats what its called) It is a dry mix. Amend your soil.If you mix it with promix..you basically got Ocean forest. You will have a lot more good medium for less money.
Cheaper still..If you live near a dairy farm see if you can buy some aged manure.I don't know of a dairy farm that doesn't sell manure in the spring as it supplements their income.Bat guano tea improves flavor too.Good luck, all the info you need is right here..Peace

hmmm...wonder why the purple pineberry has survived all these years? She must have something good about her? Maybe she throws color? I don't understand the purple rage myself..I love some good gdp don't get me wrong..and yeah it makes a pretty bud...but most purple strains are weak IME.

Don't get me wrong buddle .. The PP is a good hardy plant and grows very well in difficult climates. Its potentcy is just middle of the road. Its still worth growing .

I'm a new grower, and I'm looking to have my first outdoor run this coming season. Hears my lineup (so far)

Easy sativa female x4 $27.00
Mighty Mite $78.00
lowryder #2 $60.00

Has anyone had any experience with any of the above or have some recommendations on some early strains? I have been reading through this thread and found it very informative, thank you!

Spring seems soooooo far away among all this bloody snow (now half way up my window:-( )

I prep my holes as soon as weather allows. Last years holes get leaves, manure & grass clippings at the end of the season, turned and mixed up when I head out to dig new holes in the spring. I too am anxious, man we just got another 6 inches of snow and it's still snowing! Good to see a normal winter here in N.E though. Hopefully all the snow = well saturated grow areas this year. Not long ago w/ no snow, seemed I was lugging in more water than ever.

I'm thinking about doing a few white widow's from clone outdoors in coco this upcoming season (planning on vegging indoors for about a month before putting outdoors in late may/early june) but I'm not sure if it will finish in time in new england  Do you guys think it will do alright?

Depending on where you are in NE, the Widow may finish. GH says finishes by the middle of Oct. I add at least a week to stated finish times. Where I am located in NE, it will have mold before it finishes.

I'm in mass so I need to have my girls chopped by the first week of oct. I'm thinking maybe the hashberry (mandala) might be a better choice?

I harvest at the same time. Last summer I ran Biddy Early and it finished in time. Alot of strains don't. I'm also farther north.

Hmm I'll have to give that biddy early a try...I smoked some real good outdoor durban poison at harvest fest last oct. That was grown somewhere in maine. I believe the grower had it in the ground by the start of june and chopped it in the last week of sept. Some of the best outdoor smoke I've had. :rasta:

I have grown WW outdoors here in ME and it will finish by the first week of OCT . Mold can be a issue unless you top it and get away from the big main cola. I also grew mandala's Hashberry last season and it didn't finish until the second week od October. Very mold resistant strain the hasberry . Not the greatest potentcy but worth growing . She's a very hardy strain !
