NEToker...that is plenty of time..Speed Queen is NOT an early finisher. The name comes from the speedy energetic high she offers. There are some reports on her in backcountry's outdoor strain guide.. Peace

Thx for that...Ive been browsing various strains on the bay..Dont really know how much I want to spend but I want to try at least 3-4 strains with at least one autoflower. You sold me on the timewarp, budluver. so that will make the list.

Biddy Early by Magus
Texada Timewarp by Ace?
Hashberry/Mandala #1
Maroc by FMS

This looks to be my starting lineup for 08. Here are the possible call ups.

Cinamon by FMS
Early Misty by Nirvana
Moroc x Afghani

Won't be able to clone..so these will all be from seed..hope to plant at least 30 and have 20 females..Ideally...

Net T ...from my expereince you'd be best off by picking a couple and doing atleast 20 to 30 of each of them. Then once they are sexed..you get 10 females of each or so to see how they perform!

Deft, love the Biddy Early, I'll also be running Biddy's Sister for the first time. I've heard Biddy Early is a tough plant to keep inside, due to it's desire to flower. Have you noticed this at all? I hope to add LUI to the rotation as well. I think Reef had some type of Texada, not 100% on that one. His Purple Pineberry was something I REALLY wanted to try, but dammit, dammit, dammit, it is no longer offered. :frown:

Purple Pineberry and Texada Timewarp...

Purple Pineberry and Texada Timewarp...

Check-out greenlifeseeds.com - they offer both these strains. If the breeding protocols they tout are correct, then they are amongst the best in the business!

hey budluver...

hey budluver...

I haven't grown any Green Life genetics yet... Like I said, however, if they work with the huge numbers they talk about, they are amongst the best breeders in the biz! I did order some of their Purple Diesel x Texada Timewarp cross. It's been close to a month, and I still haven't received my order. Not too worried, given that the Canadian postal system seems a bit on the slow side, and the holiday mail crunch probably doesn't help much... We will have to chat again my friend!

let us know how it goes phrank, ive been lookin at the purple diesel myself and probably will run it...i'm afraid b/c the seeds go through more checkpoints rather than from across the pond. Happy New Years NE'ers!

bummed out...

bummed out...

Apparently Green Life has had problems with customs, and I will not be getting my seeds. At least that is the explanation they offered me. No hard feelings here, it's just the nature of the biz I guess. At least I only placed a small order to test the waters. In any case, it just makes me realize how good Gypsy's services are. I am, however, quite disappointed, as Green Life has some killer strains for those of us who prefer the great outdoors. Finally, please don't think that I am slagging Green Life! Shit happens despite our best intentions and efforts!

PS For those interested, Rez Dog offers a Quick Mist Diesel hybrid that is meant for the great outdoors. I hear from reliable sources that the Diesel is fairly mold proof.

That sucks phrank I was looking forward to seeing how they turned out too. Almost ordered some of the timewarp/diesel crosses last year but didn't have enough money at the last second.

Sorry to hear that brother phrank .. I have got some Texada Timewarp x Big Sur holyweed beans if yer interested . Big ass buds with good potentcy.

I think most seed vendors , not all are not shipping to the states because of the Marc Emery saga thats going on . I believe he goes to court in a few weeks.

Good news!

Good news!

NGSC has set things straight - couldn't be more pleased. As I mentioned in the first place, I was more disappointed than angry. Not too many people are busting ass to provide good outdoor genetics.

Bart, I'd be happy to give 'em a try.

Anyone know a rough finish date for Quick Mist Diesel? I like to have everything out of the ground by Oct. 7.

Rez also has a strain that features Mighty Mite and Kali Mist sans Diesel. Will probably have to try them both...lol I am such a strain whore! Some posts detailing various peeps experience with Quick Mist Diesel.

Is anyone else getting anxious for spring?

Not having the ability to start indoors, all I can do is sit and wait while I think about my plans for this coming season.

High on my list will be an acclimation experiment with MLI. I had high hopes for this one, but it just refused to trigger until well into September. Although the bud was immature, it's got good potency and a unique flavor. Hard to describe the initial taste, but after a few puffs it starts to taste like burnt rubber (sounds bad, but I kinda like it). Not knowing whether it would finish or not, I knocked it up with pollen from a super vigorous and wide-leaved male (also MLI). Lo and behold, I ended up with a few mature seeds, and a few more not completely mature but solid and likely sproutable.

Now the quest begins to see how many generations it will take for it to completely finish. It should be a fun experiment! I plan to cross it to my standby as well, which I'm thinking would make a good hybrid.

Here's what the lone ML female survivor looked like at the end. I didn't feed her enough N as you can see, plus she'd been through a few heavy freezes. Definitely pushed the limits of the growing season. This year I'll know to feed this strain heavier, which I'm hoping might help knock the finishing time down a little too.

I grew Next Generations Bonkers and Texada Timewarp hybrids, avalon, and diablo last yr.The Timewarps are still around for a reason.Great flavor, high, and stores well just like they say it does. The bonkers has some variability still but I got one decent female from 3 seeds started. The avalon was attacked by red ants but was vigorous with HUGE leaves up until the ants claimed her at about 3 ft tall. The diablo is a gorgeous sativa.I lost my only seed started to a land sale.I'm looking forward to growing the rest of the diablos and avalons.Green life has a good outdoor pkg for 180.Bonkers,avalon,and diablo...you can get the TT as a freebie..

I'm getting super anxious for spring too GNW!

Hoping to learn from past year's mistakes and be able to supply myself for an entire year. Already have some jillybean, purps, ECSD and MSS lined up as well as whatever else I can find. Gonna be time to start prepping spots soon!

Here is some of the purps grown inside (not by me).
