I was just thinking as i was posting earlier, that we hadnt heard from you &doob for a spell then poof here you be with a great idea.Tyvm...I will definitly look into the option......We have tried some of the attach to your sink kind of filters in the past. We've found They tend to clog up and need filter replacement WAY quick...EC I was just thinking about you and your water issues...
have you seen the zero zero filters? It basically makes RO quality water with brita style filter. we have had SUPER luck with these for funky polluted or mineralized water. they cost like $50-100 and you dont need highly pressurized water like with a regular RO
I used to always find them at homedepot, I think you can still order them to the stores even if they dont carry it.
You really only need the filters, not the whole water canister. It works better if you mount the filters in the bottom of a bucket instead. and use a bucket or bigger resevoir underneath.

My water at its peak of yuckieyness[about a month ago] was at 350 ppm..It has since gone down to 180 ppm today.....Im thinking with a 16 foot, shallow dug well[actual footage is 12 ]35 feet off the road is probly a salt contamination issue ..During peak flooding/run off my plants show lock out signs..As ph/ec ferts are kept within normal paremeters i have to believe that my on going issues HAVE to be a direct result of my unstable water supply, abundant as it is......Water was tested by a lab last year...ph 6.6[comes out of tap at 5.8-6.0]...only thing that looked high but still with range was sodium we scored 30/100mg/l..alkilinity was 40mg/l....Any water chemist's in the house?

P.S took a quick look at the filters....They are good for aprox 35 to 50 gallons before replacement...Not to bad for cleaning up some personal drinking water or a "few" plants. Not cost effective for a "crop"..Apreciate the idea, thanks for think-in of me .
aprox .33c per gallon
