I noticed Kepler found 5 new planets: 4b, 5b, 6b, 7b, and 8b. So the question screaming out to me is, where are the missing planets? What happened to 1b, 2b, and 3b? Maybe they are new Earths in more distant orbits, and they are waiting for another orbit or two to confirm them before announcing them? Why else would they skip past those numbers? Some members in another thread would have you believe it is some kind of galactic conspiracy!
I think they found something exiting and want to confirm it first.
This is an exiting time to be alive for science discoveries!
