http://www.independent.co.uk/news/s...accidentally-reverse-combustion-a7369096.htmlA team of scientists has turned a waste product — carbon dioxide — into a fuel — ethanol — in a relatively simple process. And it happened almost by accident.

any idea how easy this will be to do at home? They say the process is surprisingly simple, but that doesnt necessarily mean practical or simple for home of course! It looks just like a colloidal silver generator, lol, so maybe then it is that simple!? Time will tell. Also seems like a good way to get a 'cleaner' ethanol for solvent use, as opposed to filtering out yeast etc, and maybe even cheaper!?The team made a catalyst made from carbon, copper and nitrogen and an electric current was then used to trigger a reaction. “Ethanol was a surprise. It’s extremely difficult to go straight from carbon dioxide to ethanol with a single catalyst.”
