A large round bale would be most conducive, i'm thinking. (no knives to reduce the length of the stalks)

Leaving the 'beaters' off the rear stalk exit, might work on standard combines. Haven't ben directly involved with Ag, in a Very long time.

it depends what you are growing it for, like i said before, many hemp producers are growing for CBD, which eliminates the need for bailers and what not
the decordicators separate differnt parts of the plant to be used for different fiber/building material purposes
the problems get deeper.... hemp is all fucked up i don't feel like typing it all out again and explaining it, but here goes:
basically you can't get seeds that are verified and true into the usa with a manifest that proves what you got and where you got it
and to grow hemp for any real specific purpose to be processed by an outside party you need that verification, that manifest showing WHAT seeds you got to grow, and where you got them from. last i heard customs seized a BUNCH of seeds that american hemp farmers had bought collectively and attempted to have shipped into usa......
because of course there are no viable hemp seed manufacturers in the usa.... because we are the prohibitionist assholes..... so hemp producers for fiber are simply buying the equipment to process what they are growing; but it won't sell on the market as readily because the hemp used to produce the fibers/building materials has no verification of what TYPE of hemp was used to produce the materials. will CBD weed stalks act just like a fiber hemp variety when manufactured into building materials? anyone want to gamble their crop or investment on the chance?
hemp is all fucked up, gonna be a while before it's untwisted and when it is the industry will most likely be handed off to some rich asshole who sucked off some crooked goddamned politicians

I liken this to what just happened with e-cigarettes and the FDA. Once there's enough money in it Big Companies will seize the sole rights to produce hemp via the US Government dictatorship.

kind of important post here....
i'm being told by some lobbyist type people that home growers have a "friend" at the DORA (dept of regulatory agencies) "Brian" [email protected]
and that we should contact him ASAP in regards to the letter from the "Hydroponic Society of America" concerning the regulation of home growers. i posted it a week or 2 or 3 back,:
this one should be MOST interesting to y'all here in the colorado growers thread, it more directly concerns "us":
qpgt9w.jpg

dzyo2d.jpg

now what y'all think of THAT??

soooo, im told the best way to fight this thing that is moving forward is to contact this person, Brain at DOR and tell him that not all home grows are toxic dangerous places, and that many home growers are responsible and careful people who do not need to be "educated" and regulated by the hydroponic society of america (or any 3rd party). Be civil, this guy might could be an asset to our cause (the right to grow our own in our residence) as Colorado Growers.

straight from the source:
Alert: " The Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) has received a sunrise application from the Hydroponic Society of America seeking state regulation of cannabis growers (medical and retail). The sunrise criteria require DORA to determine whether the unregulated practice of growing cannabis harms or endangers the public health, safety and welfare; whether the public would benefit from an assurance of initial and continuing competence of cannabis growers; and whether there are any less restrictive alternatives to state regulation. "
-My hunch is that one of our big canna orgs is working with these guys to again attack private grows. Please, spread the word and give them hell. Email DORA and this org and tell them to leave you alone! I am beyond fed up with this nonsense... Brian at DORA is a good guy. Be civil. Just let him know that there is absolutely no need for this and that you will sue... [email protected]

also, i know its super old, but here is an old icmag thread, mentions someone who got rolled up in green merchant who was involved with HSA
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=79596
certainly not a GOOD sign at all....

More big money stepping on home growers in CO... what a shock.

"We produce a bunch of contaminated shit, so home growers must be too, bother them for a while!" - Dispensary owners.

Except a home grower isn't going to be able to bounce back from a charge of supposed contamination as well as a dispensary with the resources of a large company behind them.

Dispensaries make millions, that's why they can afford recalls, home growers pay the bills and occasionally put something away for their golden years, or just produce and share medicine without it being part of their income, such a person would be effectively shut down by a "recall". Given the current rules, a small accident on the part of a home grower could lead to entire crops being destroyed, considering there are brands of neem oil and other organics on the "banned" list. A new fine for inspectors give out, a new way to put the boot to the throat of anyone without the cash to make noise.

The dog and pony show continues just like with any other "big business."

Nail on the head.

If they would allow home growers to test, and legally enter their product into the "legal" market everyone would win.

Fuckheads

And product quality would probably increase as more skilled boutique growers could add to the competition.

I don't think CO wants that.

While it would generally improve quality, I doubt anyone really cares about that.

Native Roots and Livwell obviously do not, and they run the show.

Everyone is vertically integrated, and do not need or want outside flower.

If I am going to enter the industry it will be in the South.

CO will not be a competitor in the Cannabis industry. Being a pioneer is the only claim to fame, and that will go away.

Once the agricultural powerhouses of TN, KY, AL, NC, SC, and FL get involved then it is over for the one crop climate of CO. It just won't make fiscal sense. Granted this might be 5-10 years away, but when making a 30 year business plan, it's not that far off.

Not to mention CA is going legal this year, which will destroy the tourist side of the industry.

Cash...I wish I had cash...But I don't. I doubt they will push me too far because anyone who knows me knows I am looking for a good skeleton for my Halloween display...

Went to the firing range the other day and only 4/24 bullets landed outside the 8 ring, I have the exact same attitude, despite only picking up my gun once a year for practice.

Guy I was with says "slow down Annie Oakley, you wanna hit somethin" and laughed, then looked at my target and remembered the story I told him about my father collecting firearms and being in the military

Had my red card, lack of quality is reason I grow my own!! Sad to think that some big business is trying to get our home products messed with... What I do is no different than growing my own vegetables, they aren't trying to tell me what to and what not to spray on those..... just trying to monopolize on another aspect.... anyways cheers all
