I use tap water only, but usually let it sit out for ~24hrs. No nutes, no hormones no nothin!
I dont use a dome.
I dont even mist them!
Thing to remember is change the water at LEAST every 2 days. If not, you will get hit with a slime on the stems. I'm not sure what its called but it pretty much kills the clone.
I dont use a heater in the water either.
Pump runs 24/7 until all clones are rooted.
I've heard indirect light is best, but this last run the lights were pretty much in direct line, and it seems to have had no ill effect.
Viola, roots in 12 days, some strains root quicker.
I found it takes too long, ill maybe give it another when I move.
They root in a cup of water in about the same time. For me anyway.
I had two air curtains in there, correct p.h.
Thanks for the help!
Couple things from failed bubble cloning experience.
1. keep temps warm, lik 75 but not too high or they die - so a small aquarium heater helps
2. ph around 5.5-6.5
3. change that water, or you get brown slimey rotten stems

If you're getting brown slime on your stems, then the temps are too warm. Try keeping the res temps in the lower 70's and the room slightly warmer and you'll notice much quicker rooting times. For 90% of the earth's population, you shouldn't ever have to run a heater unless the room stays in the 60's or lower.
I use hygrozyme, mild FF nutes and LK which seems to shorten the times for full rooting even more and usually hit 90% success within 10-12 days...the rest are just a couple of days behind them. BTW, the only time I change water is between batches...so if the environment is setup correctly, it's not needed.
I feel sorry for you guys that have trouble with this. It’s really simple and it’s rare for me to have a clone fail to root.
Here is how I do it.
Put the water in, stick the cuts in, turn the bubbles on and leave it under a single 18w flo for a week.
