new camera!!!!

just got my hands on a canon EOS 400D with both the 18-55mm lens and a monstrous lens that I think is a ?-300mm, its huge. Well, if I cant take a half decent shot with a 10.1Mp cam like this then I may aswell give up so I'm hopin I can get some nice shots up for all to see in the near future. Anyone else got one of these? I havent had a chance to play with it yet and I wanna see its macro ability.... anyway, I feel like a kid on christmas morning! wwwwwwhhhhhhhoooooooohhhhhooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats..I dont know much about canons other than its an excellent choice (i use nikon) . With Nikons the best macro shooting is done with fixed focal length lens like the 60mm micro & 105mm micro nikor..You will also find down the road your best photography will be shot manually, (fstop etc) You can pick other canon users brains here. (do a search for the word 'macro" in this forum as well) Good luck & enjoy
