New bulb...yellowing?

Okay, so I went out and got an exact replacement bulb for my system, a 600W MH Conversion by Sunmaster. When I pulled the new bulb out of the box today, I noticed the arc tube (I hope that's what I'm talking about) had a bunch of yellowing in it. that is compared to the same model bulb with nearly 10k hours of burning that has no yellowing and the classic black burn marks. Is it just me, or does it look like this "new" bulb was test fired in the shop and ran for a little while in the window before being sold again as "new"? I really hope not.... From what I can remember, the original bulb (from another supplier) came with no yellowing.

The old bulb that is being replaced is on the left, the "new" bulb is on the right....does that look new to you or did I get fucked with? Thanks guys.

No worries man, you didn't get hustled, some bulbs are just like that. I've never had any issues with stuff in the arc tube (unless it's glass - then don't arc it), I think it's just some of the metals that are in there.

There is always a chance that you got a bad bulb, but that is very rare. Almost none of the bulbs (even the cheap ones) that we sold at the shop came back.

I bought two light units and one was clear and one yellow.

So I wondered about that too.. I thought I got ripped off with a used bulb too.
