New build; conservation efforts

Hello,
Looking to brainstorm ideas for a minimum waste room. Main concerns now are water and heat and how to reuse them.
For example I will recollect the water from my dehum and use it in my rez. I also want to pipe the hot air out of the dehum into the rez to heat the water.
I would also like to recollect the grey water and use it in my veggie or rose garden. I was thinking an elevated place to hold the vessels and under that collection via pipes to an hvac overflow pump then into a rain barrel. Any thoughts?
Is anyone else making efforts to conserve here? What have you tried? Where have you failed or succeeded?

I am fully organic and compliant. I water with only plain water, some teas, and occasionally humic acids.

Heating your res is a bad idea, just my thoughts initially.

You can use dehumidifier water, but there are a few things to look out for. I suggest looking them up.

As far as rigging the dehuey to vent into your rez.... All your doing is taking that needed hot, dry air, and cooling/remoisturizing it. The exhaust is part of how a dehuey works, Thats why you dont see them used like a window a/c unit.

Godscronik: you are wrong. I can elaborate if you wish but thats a diff topic.

smurfin herb: I don't think I will need any additional hot dry air in the area. If it was a concern of slowing down the exhaust out of the unit I could understand your sentiment. In that case I could just let the air pass through a conductive material like copper and not actually release in the rez, but rather let the heat transfer to it. Which, as I think about it, I like that idea better.

The think tank is working already!

No till organic with living/straw mulch. You'll save a ton on water, soil and nutrient usage. Plants are also more resilient to temps, you could easily have temps a little higher than the average 78f without any issues, that would save some power.

Surfguitar: great avatar and signature photo! I believe the system you describe has positive attributes but I have never really tried it. THe reason being I re-amend my soil by mixing and have to til to evenly mix it.

How do you effectively provide the soil with the nutrients required for a fast growing annual?

You make a soil mix such as CC's mix which should have enough nutrients for at least one round maybe 2, after a round of flowering you always want to topdress. Usually somethings like worm castings, kelp, neem and crab meal. Soil tends to get better and better each round of reuse when no tilling, the goal is to not disturb the delicate food web you have created.

Please elaborate, I see may people running chillers for their reservoirs, no one seems to run a heater.

If he's using the rez to water soil its not a bad idea. On another forum I follow a very succesful grow and the grower uses heated water(75-80ish) to keep his soil temp high which keeps the microorganisms from slowing down.

bingo! I also have taken some notes from the competition pumpkin growers. They use the water temperature to mimic the seasonal changes and manipulate the plants processes.
