NEW BABY GOLDFISH!

ive got a goldfish pond, and today when i was looking at it I noticed that there was a new addition to my little fishy family - a new baby goldfish !!!
You can see it here in the very center of the photo, next to two adult goldfish:

I was tossing up whether to name it Greg or F2.2 but in the end decided to name it F2.2 because it didnt really look like a Greg

uuummm......... no, he looks more like its mother lol I always enjoyed surprises in my fish tanks......Take good care of him and don't let his mother eat him....

I wish I had a fish pond, I thought about digging a mote (sp) around the house and putting fish in it ie...koi/ gold fish and maybe turtles but they eat the smaller goldfish....... or alligators ????

coughcough, yeah I like my fish pond .... it was here when I bought the house so I didnt get it by choice, but I like it! .... its nice to be able to just go out and watch them swim around, very calming, and they're SOOO easy to maintain - a pump on a timer keeps the water clean for them, and they only need to be fed once a week so its basically effortless. And yeah every year theres a good chance that a surprise like this will happen with the birth of a new baby goldfish :smile:
My pond is a pretty good size but I dont think its big enough for Koi - i'd feel bad keeping them in such a small space, whereas goldfish are fine in that regard.
And as much as I love turtles I would never keep one as a pet for the same reason.
