New Attempt

After a few miniscule successes with growing, before I used cfls and got some decent buds for what I was using, I have dedcided to move up and start it off right. I have decided to go soil and also go with a 400 watt grow light along with some seeds from gypsy (thinking northern lights). I pretty know all I need to except in one area Im still fuzzy about. Ferts. What would be a good fert combo ect or in general a good rule of a basic fert soulution that would get my plants to be all they can be lol. Any help is appreciated. :joint:

can't go wrong with the pure blend pro line.

pbp grow, soil bloom, and liquid karma.
buy some epsom salts at the grocery store.

you'll be pretty much set for nutes for your whole grow.

for the ferts do you want organic, organic based, or chemical?

organic preferably. what is the difference in yield ect. do organic ferts work as good as chemical ones? do both require flushing?

AN iguana juice is good stuff, a little pricey, well worth it.
Not that you are ready, but you should always flush at the end, organic or chemical.
This will give you the best flavors your buds can give you. I have gone with organics and not flushed some to see if I could tell the difference.

I must add this, I never needed to flush my grows that just got worm castings, the flavor seemed the same.

Stickyicky was unsure about fertilizer in the cannabis infirmary. I told him this.

What you look for in a fert for vegetative growing is:
> a ratio of maybe 2-1-2
> high in nitrate nitrogen and low in ammonia or urea nitrogen
> contain calcium and magnesium if no dolomite lime in your soil
> contain sulfur if no gypsum or other sulfate source of fertilizer used
> not some bonker rate of copper and zinc like .05% with nitrogen at 20%
>potassium source not from potassium chloride...alot of chlorine yuk!
>contain all the micros: iron, manganese, zinc, copper, boron, and molybdenum
