New and confused

Hello everyone. Well to start i decided to go the lone ranger and try to figure out the build all on my own. Then coming across this amazing resource due to my sister and her stay in Amsterdam, i decided to cry out for help. Wish i would have done this sooner..sigh.

Okay so for my grow space i took my apartment closet and decided to convert it to a top and bottom grow room. The closet is L=49 1/2in x W=26in X H=97 1/2in. After looking around at all the different hydro systems i thought i would try those as my dad and i have grown soil systems for other plants and herbs and it seemed a challenge. Not sure a challenge was the right thing to want in regards to Growing Cannabis but again...loner. The two systems that really looked fun to me were the drip system for my vegatation room (top self) and the ebb and flow for my flowering (bottom shelf). Thinking i know anything of either system i built my closet as such:

There are three sections to the bottom of my closet.

Lowest section is 3in from the ground. Serves no purpose cept it was easier to build it this way.

Second section from bottom is 12in/1ft in Height. This holds a 40qt -26.13 L x 18.25 W x 6.38 H plastic container for water for my ebb n flow system(flowering). This leaves 31in W of unused space below.

Third section Supported by a shelving unit that has 4 2in gaps in between so that i can run my tubes through. Then a 66qt 39.5" L x 20.25" W x 7" H plastic container is sitting on top. This will house my clay pellets and has two holes with tubing attatched. One for pumping in water the other for drainage.

Heres where everything gets....well stupid in my opinion lol. I have sitting on top of the ebb n flow another 40qt container. It overhangs the ebb n flow container by about 8in and is supported by another board. This container is for the drip system on the top shelf. From here i have a 3ft board that has my tubes for the drip irrigation attached to it. It comes out 26in.

The top shelf has a 21.25" x 11" x 2.5" nursery tray.

Now heres what i messed up on and dont know if i should even bother to fix or please anyone how do i fix it. I decided to basically divide my closet. Not just top and bottom but also width. The actually area i will be growing in is TOP Shelf: 31in L x 26in W x33in H. BOTTOM Shelf: 31in L x 26in W x 45in H.

I could only afford to get a 150W HPS (16k Lumens) and 1 2ft 2lamp T5 HO 110W (10K lumens).

I want to grow so that i can get two good mother plants but how will i maintain a 2mothers when trying to clone with same light? I'll try to upload pic 'cus im sure this all sounds confusing. I know once i got done i couldnt figure out what i was thinking and i just hope that it really works.

Again this is my first time growing hydro and first time growing cannabis even. Soil would have been incredibly simple n cheap but i really wanted to try this. Someone help with suggestions please! Oh and what strains would do well in this type of environment?:

honestly, I'd clear all that out and just hang a vertical bulb with 2 SOIL plants and you could veg your clones directly under the HPS, being your first time growing mj or anything? idk, because even with all the reading on this site, hydro problems have tendencies to rape newbs :comfort:. If you do proceed with doing hydro tho, I really suggest you still do the vertical idea with a scrog preferably.
