yeah well , my recent experience was the nevils haze from mr nice are only sativa in framework ....the flowers are heavily Northern lights dominant in flowers . suited me great , was totally unexpected though .

too the point its almost commercial yield .

So few people grow it .
Then subtract the ones who don`t grow it well then divide by pheno spread .
There are ubber potent plants among them . I experienced some a half dozen years ago here in Australia . Super potent and paranoia inducing .
I also sampled the 20 + year old Keeper Nevil`s Hz cut in Holland . The one I tried in Australia was on par with it .

Never go - never know .

from what I gather, the parents are indeed different nowadays, and it will be harder to find the ~12-14weekers (from clone) that smoke good compared to when N was involved in selecting. thats why it would make sense that recent reports (+-10 years) dont appear convincing.

completely agree with you though, NH is imo the benchmark sativa hybrid when done right etc.

He wanted Nevil`s haze seeds he had made himself for his grail project . .

That cast doubt on whether Shanti stock was original .

I have limited exp with Nevil`s Hz , but I do know .
Poly hybrids throw lots of phenos ...

The Male Nev`s Haze Chaco used is a real good stud .Sour Nev`s is a winner .

I think you have every reason to be skeptical about parent plants etc, but considering the options out there, if I wanted to grow pure Nevil's Haze next week, I'd still try to get a pack from Shanti.

Personally, I would prefer to run a hybrid anyway if I was working with Nev's.

Top of my list would be a pack of Chaco's Chem Sis x Nev (a few packs are available at real gorilla in the "People Under the Stairs" section.)

One of my all time favorites will always be the mistaken Chem D (Sis) x NL from Zoolander. It would have never existed without Stardog and his generosity.

You certainly see the Chem Sis in that Nev cross for sure. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL flowers!! That one still around StRa??? Really looks epic.

Chem Sis is my favorite chem when it comes to offspring produced. The plant above smelt like moth balls and blue foam carpet underlay when you unrolled it. Just reeked of nasty rotten chemical funk. Smelt like deathly good skunky dank from the driveway if you even cracked a jar open.

I ran a heavy sativa dom cut of the chem sis x nevs and it's the reason why I'm looking for a good haze. I did the mns thing ages ago and never found what I was chasing after. Wouldn't be a bad thing to maybe get a few more packs and see what happens. There was some ghz from a guy in the mns forum back in the day that were killer as well .
