I always veg for around 45-50 days just to be sure the plant is absolutely mature when she flowers. On the other hand anything is worth trying, I know many people grow Nevilles with no veg time at all.My guess is that you'll end up with 2-3ft plants with huge colas, I can't stress enough the importance of topping these crosses, all of them. The buds will be too big and a gigantic cola might be great to look at but more, smaller buds are what you want.Too many people here I've seen grow from straight 12/12 do pretty well but in my opinion you want a bit of veg time to see the full expression of the flower clusters.I just vegged a bunch of mine too far and they're too big for my garden but they're pre-sexed being so old so I'm taking cuts, labeling them and when they root I'll throw them in at 12".Doing this with most of my Nevilles too. However some plants that made it to the flower room before they grew too big were about 50 days old and are going to be big!!!The 1 gal coco can grow a seriously big plant but I like to fuck off and use 20 gal, 10 gal, beer cups etc.Gotta go out and turn a few oversized Larry/nevilles into cuts.Made a mistake last time not taking cuts because 3 of my females were knockout plants, one thing I didn't miss taking a cut of was my SSSDH, I know I won't shut up about it but this is a spectacular plant.I will be very interested to see what people come up with because these plants make Serious' Chronic look like a twig, well, they're bigger and way more potent and tasty.I'm no Chronic hater but I've done that one!!:)Good luck and don't forget to top around the 4th or 5th node no matter when you flower.Wish my camera wasn't broken, I could show you some crazy shit!:)

Chaco you crack me up man! Always so busy with thousands of giant bushes to take care of :plant grow:

I don't know how you do it, but I wish I had your patience.

I don't have the ECSD anymore. I have been so so busy with work and having the new baby. No sleep as well!

My wife's family came to the house to stay for a while, and that Deez and Chem were way too stinky to keep running, even in veg, the wife made me toss em :frown:, and everything else. I was bummed. No worries though, I got some seeds I will be runnin soon. I'll probably get back to it in the next few weeks.

Anyway, keep killing it with those trees brother!!!

Ah yes Warren, you're jarring my memory! That sound like as good a reason as any to make a smelly room vanish.I've been there before, when the babies come, everything changes in a rapid fashion.Knowing soo many people on the mj boards sometimes I forget the little facts.Stiill, there's always great things for the future with or without growing, esp when your first children are born.Seems like I was holding a baby just yesterday now my youngest is 5 and the older ones want to be at the skatepark 7am sharp. The time from baby seat to middle school is very short!Enjoy it, before you know it the kids are telling you where to put it!!:) Nothing I ever did took the patience of having kids, of course I could go on forever, but I'll spare ya'!! There's another member here from your area who's in a wheelchair and now his kid grows for him.The guys baffled, he doesn't know wether to be proud or dive off a bridge!

Hey Brother CHACO.

An old Guy turned up on my doorstep last night, bud in hand.

He said " I grew this from the seed you made last winter, Its Headband/ Nevilles Haze" Its not quite dry yet, but its nice. Ill dry and cure it before I try it.

Nice pics Dr, feel free to put up anything you like...I had some headband last year I traded it for something and it was damn near exactly like ecsd, very tasty and enjoyable smoke I'm sure that mixed up with Nevilles it ought to be quite nice.My Nevilles males are about to start throwing flowers, I'd better go and check on them, I'm finally cleaning this room out, my time is too short. I wake up everyday at 3 and my elbows and wrists are numb as hell from mixing 5gal jugs of nutes and cutting bud, anybody else have this numbness??

This is an old pic of a Nevs/Chems Sister at about day 28, she picked up a spot of PM in the middle of a PM attack when I had to tear down and start over. You can see she was rather sturdy and strong but I had to take her down with everything else and clean house but it gives a general idea of how they look, I had several females like this exactly but they all were binned...

These are some ecsd/Nevs that were victims of the same cleanup, they were all nice and meaty like these, that PM gave me a mid life crisis...

15 yrs ago I bought this big old stand up closet made from old barnwood.I just made a bunch of cash on a boat and I was driving by this fancy furniture shop and bought the thing for growing weed, I'd been rooting cuts in 5ft blanket boxes for years with 4ft racks of flouros..A 250 W sodium lamp fits perfectly inside and I'd flower little plants in there when my accomadations did not permit any luxuriant grows. This thing is out on the back porch now, covered in mold and rot, soil on the roof etc.So I just cleaned the thing up with a power bleach mix and I'm going to throw my Nevilles and Nevilles/Larry males in there with a couple flouros. It's the only time of year I could do this now I can really load up on pollen and let the Larry mom throw a few thousand flowers, my chem D is around 12 days in and has some flowers already but that's not near ready, I don't want a ton of seeds on the D.With the time of year I can openly pollinate the Larry outside so I don't have to have seeds in every cluster throughout my rooms and I can allow a few days to pass between Nevilles pollen and Nevilles/Larry pollen, I think a BX to the Sour Larry couldn't hurt the quality...:)

Hi Chaco,
Can you explain if there is any difference between the PUS and the Chefro versions of the Coastal Collision beans for sale on the 'bay?
I snagged some of them (Chefro) and the Chem's Sis.
Looking forward to snagging the Larry cross, ECSD and ChemD.
Thanks mate!

All the same , I just mailed them in . Chaco donated these beans for free to get them :ying: out to people .

A question: #294 you say "chem D is around 12 days in and has some flowers already but thats not near ready". Is there a time where a plant has been in flower too long to get pollinated? I don't mean like after 6wks or anything like that. I've always just put my male & females to 12/12 together (only done this 3 times) thinking this was the only way to do it. Can I wait to pollinate when the female has flowered 3 weeks to get the buds bigger first?

I always give my seeds 40 days to mature, taken from the advice of Robert C Clarke who gives them 36 days as a rough maturation timeline. The Sour Larry goes 70 days and then basically dies so optimally day 25 or 28 would be the best, she may go longer if pollinated, I'm certainly going to try and make as many viable seeds as I can.The two pints of seeds I made last time are down to half a pint already!.I'm buying a camera on Wednesday so I can update some of these nice plants I finally have staggered in my main flower room.I flipped a 20 gal sour D yesterday, I'm throwing in a vert 600 or an over head 1000W cooltube with some serious airflow.I have plans of this being "the mother of all sour D's".I have 2 chems sisters of outrageous proportion at day 50 with a few Sours and some SSSDH.I did set up the males today in my outdoor cabinet, the Nevs/Larry males are very close to dropping pollen at day 13, there were open flowers this morning. On another note I did mis-diagnose a female Nevilles, thought it was male and learned to my pleasure it's a girl and quickly transplanted to 3gal coco.Wait until I grab some pics of my summer bathtub supercross coloseum, it couldn't be better.:)

Thanks man. This has always been a question for me. I always just went together to be on the safe side. I won't be making seeds again till spring 2013. By then I'll have alot more to think about. I'll be watching for those pics in a few weeks and alot more answers.
