hello ladies and gentleman,

ì've got a serious problem with some of my plants.
although they are all in the same soil and standing at the same place some of them (4 out of 15) are becoming yellow leaves.
but not the older ones are getting yellow like it used to be, no the new sprouting ones are getting yellow and the older ones still have the same old nice dark green colour.
i've just never seen something like this and could guess that it is probably a mineral problem but i've used the earth for about 3 years and had never had a problem like this before.

please help!

is this outdoor or indoor? when you say you've used the same earth for three years, do you mean THE SAME EARTH as in same dirt in pots/same spot in yard etc? or do you mean the same KIND of earth? if your new shoots are yellowing thats a pretty sure sign of either nutrient or ph problem. if your growing outdoor, and the plants are in the same spot/pot of dirt for three years, then it's possible that you've depleted the soil of micronutrients by not rotating crop/plant types. if you've fertilized for 3 years in the same spot/pot and haven't checked or adjusted PH for 3 years, then your problem could be PH. the moral of the story is much more information about your setup/fertilizing/ph is needed, but it's a safe bet it's either a ph or nute problem. if you are putting the dirt into pots, and you've used fresh dirt every year, keep in mind that the patch of ground from which you are getting your soil could very well have changed IT'S composition over 3 years.

if you're growing indoor under HID's, perhaps your bleaching your shoots. the possibilities are endless! lol

-jay.....yes like this but not that much but i think that's how it will look like in the near future.

-bruceleeroy....yes it is outside and no, of course i didn't use the same soil for three years. it is the same type i buy every year maybe it is worse this year and the company didn't mix it very well.

-....OG RG i'm not sure if i will be able to post pics because i got no cam. maybe i'm able to organize one. we will see.

thanks to all so far, i'll check the ph and will give em some ferts as i was supposed to.
has nobody had this before and found out what it was?

This is Lockout, bigtime... you wanna remove the heads and balance out your PH.

The blame does go to the soil company...

Also check for bugs just to be safe.

u just gave em tap water anita? i think yer right about minerals (aka secondary elements)
buy some new soil or ammend this stuff for next run/next xplant. as growdoc said lockout will show up similiar issues, do you re-lime yer soil periodically? you should be as per yer particular lime's lasting power. be well. cj
