Garden store. Medium to large ones are often sold for water plantings of things like lilies.

I've also seen people use:

Fruit cartons (the mesh plastic kind)
Pool noodles with a hole in the middle
plastic containers with a ton of holes drilled in them

Go to your local homedepot or plumbing supply store and ask them for "Atrium Grates" (~ $1.50 each). These are the closest things to netpots I found that are available locally. Like netpots they come in various diameters, but unlike netpots, Atrium Grates are much much stronger.

purchased net pots for dwc & aero buckets. quickly determined that they are not worth what any garden store/general store charges for them...

go to 7/11, am/pm, circle k, etc & ask clerk if can buy 16-32oz big bulp type cups. rigid, durable plastic. they usually have them in cabinet under soda machines & are so stunned by request, can usually get hem for pennies ea.

DWC 101

did this ten turns 'round sun ago. got cheapo soldering iron to make holes (messy). total cost was ~5 coins for ~50 32oz cups. still usable, after xxxx runs... if use soldering iron, do in ventilated area. will stink of melted plastic. can also use simple power drill...

can also get these from bulk-type store, like costco, or dollar store. dont have to use soldering iron to make holes. get new utility knife & xtra pack of blades, as they will dull after cutting plastic.

should be able to make 100 net pots for ~20 coins, or less. target has 'Congrats Grad Plastic Cups 50-pk. - 14 oz.' for ten coins... make holes in sides, end.

should be able to find ubiquitous solo red party cups, in 8-12-15-24-32 oz... @ any general/grocery/dollar. 1-2 pieces of paper for 1 net pot is madness...

enjoy your garden!
