[FONT=&quot]Hi fellow stoners I have a few different ACE strains growing at the moment NepJam and Malawi vegging indoors with 3 Jilly Bean candy store cuts and Golden Tiger vegging outdoor with some Kaboom and A-13 my plan is to scrog 6 plants (2 Tigers 4 Malawi) indoors in a 1.2m tent with a 600w light everything else will be flowered outdoors until it gets too cold.

Not long ago I re potted the NepJams and most the Malawi from small 9cm round 6.5cm high pots to 13cm x 13cm x 13cm square pots I also changed the 400w MH to a 600w MH (it seems that the 400 was at the end of its life I should have kept an eye on how well it was performing the 600 is much better) but the plants are not looking so happy and im not sure what theyre telling me could the soil be too “hot” for some of them but too weak for others? The water out of my tap comes out at 300ppm and with a ph of over 7 that raises to 8 when left to sit for 12-24 hours I use 3ml of canna 38% nitric acid to get down to 6.5 to stay in the 6.5 -6.8 range if I use nutes i can use less ph down is this a problem? or that im not feeding be causing issues? The soil should have plenty of nutrients to keep them happy for a minimum of 5 weeks.

I think you have to post a few more times before the site allows pictures to be uploaded.
I don't know the magic number. Welcome though and the tokers den has plenty of threads you can use to get your post count up. Hope all goes well.

Welcome SirLikesAToke,

If the plants were growing healthy before the repot and you are sure the ph range is correct then the problem is probably the soil. Is a new kind of soil or is your 'standard' soil to grow healthy plants ? What is the ph and ec when the water comes out of the pot ?

Dubi thank you so much for the reply after my post i had a look at my soil ( i mixed 2 soil types together) there were bits of plastic paint and even broken glass in it! so i re potted them into bigger pots with nice soil and put them out in the garden and they all took off grate sativa for sure yet compact by far the best plants i have had so beautiful (ec/ph run off was good to my tests just horrid soil) however my next door neighbor his had his big tree cut down (we offered a few times to pay for it to be cut down/trimmed but they said no for 10+ years) but didnt warn me people would be in my garden and the big bits landed on my plants so there fucked also im not happy about being exposed as a grower as it carries "up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both" so as you can imagine i feel a little stressed now, im a medical user dont get out much and dont have any cannabis contacts my outdoor crop was looking so good but now its all wasted i feel so sad but i do have 4 plants indoors in my small grow tent that I have all my hopes pinned on i thought they were all Malawi but by the looks of them i think maybe i miss labeled one of them is a mislabeled nepjam i hope i can keep myself going untill next summer i did intend this to by my 1st diary sorry for the wasted time everyone

Wow, sorry about what happened with the neighbor. Right now security is a bigger issue than the loss of the plants. Crummy situation. Better use a different location next season. All those tree trimmers know your scene now.

Thanks for the replies guys Ive had no trouble from it so im happyer now.

The plants in the tent are ok but i found that when i let some phed water sit over night there was a film/scum on the top of the water and the ph had changed back up after a lot of reading i think its due to my crappy hard water so i have a ro unit now that ill install this weekend but during that time the plants have had un phed tap water and 3 seem much more happy but one Malawi is having nutrient deficiencies.

There has been a heat wave here and i cant find the clips to keep the glass shield to my reflector (also the gasket has gone bad) so i swapped to a 4 x 55w cfl light for a week but it didnt make much difference to heat in that time i got 4 different temporary clips but the gasket i could find was shit so didnt get any.

I was looking to upgrade my reflector because i dont think my light spread is very good with the hood i have i was looking for the magnum xxxl reflector but the place i called said they didnt have any and that the cheaper grow lush australia megasun was exactly the same but cheaper so i ordered that, it is here now so ill put it in tonight but there seems to be gaps in the reflector part ?! is this normal my last one didnt have that so im not sure if i should sent it back or not ill add pics of the gaps in the reflector in the next post with my plant pics.

Sorry to hear about the outdoors. Just means you can give the indoor that much more love! I'm not the last word, but those gaps seem so minimal I think you'll be fine.

Im glad to see you are still motivated to grow your own ganja, the indoor setup looks clean and cute. I wish beautiful and inspiring flowers bloom in that room. Please, let us know if you have any doubt during the process and will try to help you on the way. Best wishes!
