A SUIVRE.... :biglaugh:

Good day xpresson one,

First Nepalese highland x oldtimer's haze F1 tests are showing interesting things... hybrid is growing more compact and flowering earlier than expected, good nepalese influence.

We are going to explore deeply the different sativa x haze routes

Unfortunately I have no photos of the last crop, but flowering time was about 10 weeks - indoors with 6 weeks veg.

Hola

It has great potential but much selection yet too. 6-7 different Nepalese moms were used in these tests but we reduced working selections further to 2 or 3 best ones only. Still too early to say but you can expect very nice things, low aromas up to now, plenty of hairs. Some variablity, you can find quick and easy to manage in size individuals

Best luck all

Did you guys get a chance or space for different lines or just different mums in the nepalese selections? The wild type sounds lovely with the strawberry aromas.

Different nepalese moms as they showed some variability and showed some different traits with same Oldtimers Haze male. Shouldnt be that difficult to find a nice "haze influenced nepal". Some of the moms were really sweet and fine, best available ones when cross was done

Ill keep updating if you like this single NepalHaze female.. little smell yet is more into hazy side.

Best

charlie or dubi...I received a freebie Nepal Haze with the Koh Chang ~6 months ago (thanks hermanos). Since it's relatively new I'm curious what your experience was. Can you give me some information/suggestions regarding the condition that cross was in when I got it? Optimum veg/flower time, top/train or not, light/heavy feeder etc? Gracias amigos...

From what observed and knowing lines involved, NepalHaze should grow very easy, branchy, likes to stretch if allow, so better keep pots small in first stages. Grows healthy, dark leafed, lots of "hairs" and nice calyx to leaf ratio. Medium to short feeding doesnt like much to be wet all the time. Due Nepal influence am sure some will behave more hungry and thirsty than others, for same reason some shorter individuals can be found and better yielders.

Hola Bacchus, you never know, testing yet and pondering their quality and those things. Not all crosses are positive if just for the names but am sure a bigger selection could bring on some nice ones.

So we are not sure yet.

High xpresso one :)

Im glad you are thinking to produce your own seeds. Is it an early male or late flowering one?

The early Nepal Haze expressions are very interesting for indoor hybrid production, there's a less frequent Nepal Haze pheno that is more haze influenced and quite late flowering.

Thank for all details Xpresso, you make a wonderful job there. And your english is as good as mine lol

You can look for early males with big bud in the top as some of them may show.

Pay always attention there is not one female hair in the males buds

Look for shorter internodals

With an ampliance lense you can look at smaller leaves in the top, may show signes of trichs and resins presence.

Nepalese can be faster line so is interesting to catch such earliness which make best sense for this hybrid. OTHaze takes longer you know well but some Nepalese phenos could go as well to more then 12 weeks

I grew a few of them before with those traits. I think with a few of these tips you can be succesfull selector

Best amigo
Great job
