Negative Ions in the garden

I found two threads about negative ions but didn't get much insight after reading them. They were 5 years old so I thought I'd try to bring it up again to see if anyone else has dabbled with adding them to the garden. Any feedback is appreciated.

Negative ions are just positively charged air molecules that neutralize other particles out of the air.... I'm sure lots of growers using hydro have them as I'm pretty sure they are created by falling water... Anyways be a good way too keep the air and bud clean from dust ect.
