Neem Oil

S

Sirus

I am planning to use the product for preventive pest control. Should I follow directions on bottle or mix differently? I know to apply with lights off and during veg, do I have to rinse off before lights come back on? Any input would be greatly appericated. :tiphat:

use as directed. Best time to spray is just when the lights are coming on. You don't want to spray when everything is hot and the moisture on the leaves starts burning the leaves when the drops can act like a magnifying glass. You don't want them sprayed when dark, because you are adding to the moisture with no sun to prevent mildews etc.

Your talking about dyna 100% if so Mix the neem oil a little less then what they recommend in your sprayer and shake well.... then spray all over get them nice and good no need to rinse! But when the lights come on you should have a nice shine to your leafs ... but beware neem will not keep out Root aphids !

Iv been using neem for years its a great organic product dyna 100% neem oil ... also look around there's a bunch of threads on neem oil and other pest killers threads and how to get rid of them...

I think this guy hates you and wants you to set ur garden on fire. I run small veg lights at 20/4, then medium to large veg at 18/6....this allows for the dark time (as well as photo period) to spray neem. YOU DO WANT TO SPRAY MOMENT LIGHTS TURN OFF. I too have used neem for years now. I make sure that the neem bottle is warmed with a vat of hot water...let the neem bottle sit in that bowl/bucket of hot water (unscrew neem bottle cap) for around 5-10 minutes...then shake well. Get yourself a one gal home depot type sprayer. 3 tables spoons of neem, and three table spoons of earth friendly dish soap...you know the stuff in the organic section in your grocery store that costs 2 times the amount of dawn or whatever else. Fill your sprayer with tepid almost luke warm water. Shake the fuck out of that neem bottle,....add your three tablespoons of each neem and soap...or you can buy a sticky. Anyway, after adding, give sprayer a gentle shake/toggle, also while spraying give a gently shake/toggle. Check ph, you want ph between 5.5-5.8 due to the fact that neem, or for that matter most pesticide killers works best in that ph. Then, spray away. Spray them hard, even undersides of leaves if you can. Now, this is important. Think of the leaves on ur ladies like pores on your face. When they are clogged with oil you get zits. Kind of the same with neem. You will kill the live mites, but eggs will not die. I use neem all the way through till end of week 1-2 in flower. My schedule for neem is as such...spray one day....24 hours later foliar feed...to clean off neem from leaves. Then the next day, day three now, spray neem again...to kill the eggs that hatched. Next day foliar feed to clean leaves again...wait a few days...repeat process bro-seph.:tiphat:
On a side note, you will not get mold if you have proper air flow and humidity. Of course the rel hum will raise when spraying....I only got mold during flower....which was because of improper air flow....and u should never use neem during flower. Hope this helps...stoned and rambling. :scripture:

puff puff pass bro-seph :blowbubbles:

Good looking out JC :tiphat: I was skeptical when he said spray with lights on, it takes about 3 min for the 800W to heat that little 4x4 area. As always you advice is duely noted, the first time around I had little control over high temps and 0 control over rh. After dialing in the set up I can get rh in the tent down to 32% if I want. I have a shit ton of ventilation in the tent, so hopefully the "black death" is not in the stars for me this round. puff-puff pass :joint: :ying:

So check out this link and tell me what you think for the soap...it was the only "natural" soap they had. There is no organic seal but everything looks pretty natural. I got the Xtra Concentrated Sun & Earth, heres the link....

I've personally never used it, looks interesting. Like I said previously, I just go to the grocery store and walk down the organic section and put down like 6-8 bucks on a river/camping/earth friendly soap...or you can just go out and get a sticky. The reason I use a soap is because I have read that the mites even get sick on that. It makes life suck for them.:tiphat:

I think I'm gonna check the local organic health food shop and see if they have anything with the organic seal. puff-puff pass bro :joint: :ying:
