Need urgent LED Help for a very sick member.

Dear Good Friends,

I used to post a lot however I am severely ill, hence the lack of posting.

Long Story Short I have a nice small room setup that will fit a 4x8 tray. However there isn't enough power for 2x 1000.

I have spend close to 50 hours researching on LEDs and still cannot make up my mind. I have somewhat narrowed down to two LED unit that I think are good.

Platinum P600
G8 LED 600w

I am even willing to buy both. So the main question is that I want to cover a 4x8 try but not used 2000w to cover it. what is my best option. My budget is not much of a problem as along I stay under $2000. And I only have access to 1200 watts for the 4x8 tray.

Usually looked at Amazon reviews on LED's then cut/pasted the models that showed the best reviews, looking for my best bang for my buck.

Try not to put a yield amount on your grow....just grow to the best of your capability. Putting a number on it....and if you don't reach that goal, disappointment sets in.

i am looking for at 4lbs that i would get with 2k hps,

Then get two Spectrum king 400+s, I don't think there's a led light on the market which can match SK's production.
They have comparable intensity to 1000w hps and do not require massive setup changes, as one could expect from other leds.
The SK's spectrum is probably the best around so product quality will definitely be there.

You can go on ebay and search "New 2014 Big Eye LED" . They make several different models. A member on here states that they are worth the money, and they out do the 600 watt hps he used to use(400 watt model).

I just ordered a 150 watt single lens, and was gifted a 400 watt model. Both are in the mail, on there way as I type.

I would also opt after Spectrum King units.

Be sure to have enough ceiling height and go check out some of there youtube videos explaining footprint and which unit/s works the best (space/height wise)

I wish You all the best and a quick recovery !

If you want your money's worth look into Amare Technologies, which are based around what we know works- WHITE light. Any so-called grow light that is based in blue & red diodes is pure BS. Do they grow Yes. Do they last? not too long. What will happen to the genetics 3+ generations out? They will definitely change, probably not for the better. Alas, no one has done that study yet

can you get 5 pounds? You can but with a much higher initial cost

Probably 3 Amare Solar Eclipse 350s or 4 SE 220s. They will make you a deal for multi-purchasing

see my threads for some insight

Wise words PetFlora, same basics tought and pushed by Spectrum King.

They call the colored LEDs for "Clown Factory".

click on the link...http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...0.Xbigeyes+LED.TRS1&_nkw=bigeyes+LED&_sacat=0
these Bigeye LED's are worth every penny...each eye is a 100watt LED chip behind a super lens and they have been perfect for me...i have bought almost 20 of them...and now they have a single lens 150 bigeye...my other grow had 1000 hps with Hortilux eye bulbs...the yield is just as good as the 1000 HPS and the trichage is much better....you have a better light spectrum than a HPS and the trichs show it for sure...definitely worth a look..DJXX

i'm only a little fish, the biggest light i've run was 400w HPS

in about a 4x5 with maybe 4 or 5 26w CFLs for sidelighting.

i'm not into weighing shit, but i had to at a later point to sell my surplus once for travel cash, and i'm sure i cleared a pound in that space. i know nobody is gonig to believe me.

but i think 400w (ebay refurbs, like $75.. noisy ballast tho) does great for 4x4 and i occasionally see people kicking ass with them. even if you kick it up to 2x600w.

i used blue (5000k+) CFLs plus a uv-b. i like leds and read about the other technologies, but i'd automatically do another 400w HPS given the space. i just don't need more weed than that.
