Need to move. Where?

I'd would vote for California, the medical marijuana laws are alright, and locating doctors who are willing to write a recommendation is not difficult.

I like the CO idea too. In fact I would have gone there long ago but my arthritic ass is stuck in humid, fucked-up, dumb-ass FL on 5 acres. It's rural and I'm left alone and I like the privacy and quiet but the politics, education system, and like a I said high humidity, just suck. I was born and raised in the NE, the cold wouldn't bother me that much. Even got a college degree. But now I live on SS disability and military (20 fucking years, AF) retirement, somewhere around $25,000 a year, own my car, think I should pay off the mortgage (gotta see how much the tax man is gonna gouge me) and set it up so the money is there for the grand-kids to go to college (inherited a chunk). I didn't think at 56 I'd be almost all in but I'm almost ready for fucking assisted living ;-)..never. I don't think I could do it by myself now though. I've read a bunch about Colorado Springs, I think around there would suit me best.

What I'm trying to get at, is do it now, do it with conviction. Make your mind up go where, and don't be swayed by nay-Sayers. But mostly I'm trying to say do it NOW, while you're young, before you start setting roots too deep. :tiphat:

-ok first off, your problem is because you sell. you wouldn't have a problem if you grew personal, so not sure you can warrant complaining.

-second, pretty messed up to sell in a non-med state when you have family.

-third, Colorado is shit, please tell me anything great about it.. go ahead, I've lived there many years.

-fourth, people need to stop saying island fever, where in your world do you drive to different states every day? people live in there own bubble already without them knowing it, it's called your town, and your work place..

-fifth, don't come in here telling and showing pictures of your illegal activities. Your post is going to be used as a model example if this site ever gets pulled for 'criminal conspiracy'

^first off you are being ass hole, and your post is 100 percent bullshit

second off. The problem is the government. he should be able to grow and sell where he wants and as much as he wants. If he goes to jail he is a political prisoner. the drug war is unconstitutional. you are brainwashed to think he is doing anything wrong period. The fact that you are not complaining and think it is wrong to make profit really makes you a moron. not only should you be standing up for everyone's rights, you should be making profit. profit drives competition which drives up quality of care. I just spent the last week dealing with severe health issues, and the private care was about ten thousand times better than public B.S. care. Private care helped me and costs less. the emergency room cost twice as much, made me wait ten times longer, and they didn't even help. i'll take the for profit doctor any day.

Third. Colorado is gorgeous and great if you like nature and skiing and hiking. maybe you should get your ass out side and enjoy it. Try living in Texas or Oklahoma.

fourth. Island fever is very real . I know multiple people that moved away from hawaii because of it. Also I usually cross state lines 3 times a week just for perusing recreational activities. Also I guess you have never heard of the east coast where poeple commute from other sates to NYC to work everyday.

fifth. WTF are you fucking talking about? All this shit is illegal. this whole entire web site is illegal. If the US government could shut it down they would in a second, but they based it in another country so they can't. they sure as fuck shut down OverGrow. Your state law does not mean shit. if one of the 8 federal police forces wants to fuck you then you are fucked.

pull you head out of your ass.

If I were you and selling what I saw in the pic, well I would make a point of getting to a med state. You would be nothing special if you grew that amount per harvest and likely not be bothered by anyone.

In some states if you have 10 lbs. of buds, you are public enemy #1. Taking a wild ass guess on your picture. I harvest a few ounces and do not have growers anxiety here in cali. No idea on how hard it is to move buds here and likely never will know. I will not grow in quantity where I am at present and have no plans for such as yet.

This is an example of my problem. Prime, close trimmed, rock hard, hand picked, fully cured bud that stinks up the room and I'm sitting on it. Had a better season than expected. It'll move in time, but it sure would be nice to have a relatively quick, safe and professionally gratifying way of doing business. Well, the latter may be too much to ask for. lol

https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=27576

Take a look through this album. It's some of the oddball seeds I grew out this season. At least in my current environment, I can do this like clockwork with pretty much any non-oddball genetics. I'm in a place where I can't even smoke a bowl in peace. This just isn't right.

Thanks again for all the helpful comments.

Simon

you wouldnt be sittin on it if u were my way

You're asking a loaded question Simon...

You're talking about taking your family and moving to a new state... If you choose Michigan, I hope you have the money to survive the first 6 months before you even have a harvest, b/c you're not going to find a job very fast. Then when you do harvest, who are you going to sell your product to? Dispensaries? lol... We only have a few now, and the legit ones aren't taking more than 1/2lb a week per strain unless you have some fire... and they don't want to pay more than $3200 a lb. Are you going to go legit and sign up 5 patients? Cause those are 5 strangers you have to tell that you grow, and now they're a part of your life... I've found that they all get a sense of entitlement and start demanding things, dropping by when they feel like... So get a PO box and never let them know where you live and hope you don't get followed... b/c I learned to keep my mouth shut and didn't get my door kicked in for the 2nd time until I went medical and had patients over to my apt.

If you wanna go through the hassle of acquiring 5 patients and register yourself with the state... You can legally grow 72 plants and transport 15oz usable meds... But wet and curing meds don't really have legislation passed, so that's a big grey area... The state isn't handing out cards until 6-8 months after receiving the application, and they expire at the end of the year... So you'll have to carry a folder of papers everywhere you go to have the proper documentation during traffic stops and the occasional raid...

I can go on and on... Point being, I don't trust the program. I'm still doing things illegally, and so are most of the registered caregivers I know. I know a lot of patients who grow for themselves and follow the law to a "t"... but most caregivers are operating outside the protection of the law anyway... So why am I going to give money to the system and hand out free meds when I'm already breaking the law anyway? I've moved 2x and purchased a separate grow house since my door got kicked in last... I keep my mouth shut, and I only deal with a few trusted people. 1 of them is a dispensary... but I move most of my weight on the street.

Oh, and BTW... You're going to need a lab test to sell to the dispensary... They're only $40-50 and require 1g... Say you score 16%, you're looking at $160 an oz... Score 25% total cannabinoids, and you'll get $250...
