Fuck...committed to something months ago and forgot about it until this week.

Need to leave town tonight and wont be back till sunday night.

5x5 tent, 1000 watt hps, squirell cage fan as exhaust. Plants are on week 3 of 12:12, lights on at 6 pm lights off at 6 am.

I am a worry wort, so generally try and schedule my trips between grows but this time I fucked up..

Whats ICMAG say...leave the shit on or just turn everything off and let sunlight in through the windows (safe, no one can see in) for a couple of days than resume my normal cycle.

Also, there is a part of the fan that gets pretty damn warm to the touch...its some kind of gray band around the motor..Im guessing heat sink?

Do you have a timer so you can leave and just let it run? How solid id your power source? As long as there isn't any real fire hazards put them on autopilot for a few days. If you think there is even the slightest possibility of disaster happening pull the plug and let the sun get them like you say....

by power source you ballast? digital phantom ballast is what i have…electrical connections are solid…

lights are on a timer….fan is not..i would just leave it running the whole time

I use Phantom digital 600 watts 3 of them don't take any chances brother but as long as they are on auto I've never had a problem. ...but do what u think is best. ..don't take any chances

Best of luck. Born

Week 3 no more stretch I assume. Personally id leave it on. Lower the hours of on to maybe 7 hours on. Maybe raise the lights a tad.... you said 2 days? R they gonna dry out before you get home?

I was talking about the electrical connections. Yeah you gotta follow your gut. Hate to tell ya to leave it running and have shit go bad... I personally leave things running on any trip out of town but that's just me.. Had to go out of state for 2 months and had a trusted neighbor come over every few days and water for me. I left at the beginning of flower and came back to a harvest :) He got 20% for following a schedule and tying things up. Are you in an apartment or house? If its a multi dwelling I for sure would kill the power. Hate to think someone got hurt over my actions...

My only concern would be them getting too thirsty, so if they wont miss out on a watering, they should be fine. Also, make sure that they wont grow up into the light if you have it super close.

You might try putting your fan on a speed controller. If it were dialed down a smidge so that its not working so hard, it might not produce so much heat?
