have been flowering till the 2 week before harvest mark. And do I need to flush if I have been using nutes every other watering? I know the Hydro flush and how you do it but not the soil... Please lend some help on how much water per size container is needed

thanks

No nutes the last two weeks, just water. You want your plants to use up whatever nutrients they have stored in their leaves and flowers. For the final flush I use about 2x the volume of the container. Just pour it in the top and let it run out the bottom into the drain.

You can also add molasses to your flush, theoretically it helps buds add last bit of volume and apprently makes the taste better.

I have been doing it for a while, no ill effects and bigger buds. My last run I used maple syrup, turned out great. Changed the smell of my blubonic.

But sprout420 is right, that is how I do it. I drain the overflow into a bucket and use it on other plants, I dont like to pour stuff down drain

i have another question, what about how over this process, the top part of the roots are starting to show! Is this ok? or do I need to add some soil and put around the top to cover the roots back up?

You have nothing to worry about. All you are seeing is roots doing what they do best, go searching for moisture. You did a good job of keeping the top of your soil moist, so your roots grew that way to absorb as much water as they could. I would not spend time covering them up, especially this late in the process. You are only a few days from harvest, why do all that additional work. The roots will do what they need to to stay alive and healthy, plants (especially Cannabis) are miraculous in what they can do. Think about tree roots that we see above the ground, your plants roots will do something similar. Just let your plants do what they will, and you will be fine.

Just a thought, roots seek moisture and nutrient. When it is not available they will reach out, crawl under your driveway, foundation, sidewalk and invade any area in search of what it takes to survive. It applies to growing pot. Give what is needed, when it is needed, in a measurement equal to the plants needs.

A question2U: Don't roots belong underground? Yes? No? If not, where should they be?

I personally wouldn't waste the soil covering up a few exposed roots at this stage of the game. Usually, toward the end I have some roots exposed from the water washing away a bit of the soil at the top. Haven't had any problems I guess since the business end of the root is still buried. If you're worried about it maybe you can move some of the soil from the sides to cover up the roots.

I have recently received a "cease and desist" letter from the attorneys of Advanced Nutrients claiming that my common sense is no match for their million dollar marketing budget in which they work to convince you to buy and use their "easy 30-product basic line", or if you are a real pro the "63 product line" is just what you need. You cannot grow weed any other way, they claim. Even Mother Nature was a poser before AN came around.

Advanced Nutrients has just announced the launch of AN Financial, a credit company created to help AN customers pay for the dozens of products they most absolutely need and must have if they want to even get a seed to sprout. 12 easy payments, weekly auto withdrawals, paycheck garnishing and other services designed to make the financing of AN products quick and easy, like 48 easy payments.
