Need to change my 12 12 schedule... Is that ok?

I need to change from 8 am to 8 pm

to

6 am to 6 pm..

I assume make the change to where the Dark is the longer period on the day you change..

So like change the timer around noon to the new 6 am 6 pm schedule so the day I change, darkness is 14(lights go off at 6pm instead of 8 pm that day) hrs instead of 12..... just that one day..

That ok?

the plants will not be effected by a zone change. 12/12 is the same rather 6-6 or 10-10.
