Need some opinions - setting up 4.5x3.5x7 550w flowering chamber (diagram/pics)

So here's the skinny, my sister asked me to set up something for her in the basement of her home and has given me free reign over what to do with only two criteria:

1.) 100% odor-proof
2.) 1 plant vegging/flowering, 4 clones, and one mom at a time...no more

Here's a top-down diagram of the entire basement:

DesignDraftRoom2.jpg

The obvious issue here is that 110 cu ft is a lot of space for one plant, at least when compared to my other grows. Additionally, because the front access to the space is an open doorway surrounded by beams (basement is mostly unfinished) I've decided to do my best at lightproofing a single sliding door that I can cover to match the surrounding area, making this an essentially undetectable grow.

Veg will be under 400w CMH, Flowering 400w HPS + 150w HPS for 550w total. The room will be sealed with a 4" passive intake on the bottom of the back wall then connected via 6">4" reducer to the 400w lamp, out to the carbon filter > Inline > Exhaust port.

Can I get some feedback on whether I need or want that much space for one plant? Am I wasting that extra energy here, or with good genetics and a well-trained plant do ya think I might be able to pull some decent numbers?

Will post pics soon, in the mean time, here's one formerly outdoor plant @ 28 days that she had going already:

Thanks in advance folks

Forgot to mention, leaves are cupping and small yellow spots (don't appear to be necrotic) sounds like a mg deficiency since it's only under 150w HPS right now, and it's definitely not too close. is that right or am I not remembering my shit correctly?

leaves are curling upwards i believe that is heat stress, had it happen to a plant of mine not too long ago, and small yellow non necrotic (yes i could have just said living) is normally a potassium deficiency, use the search engine up here and they have a great plant health guide, personally, i listen to jorge cervantes

cool design by the way

oh and the numbers, are fine, she may stay strict on that but keeping room to expand is smart, because it's inevitable

Thanks man...I won't have a chance to get back to my sister's house for a few days because of work, so I hope she takes care of things in the mean time! :yoinks:

My buddy handed me some Shiskaberry beans he's had for years...if they pop, I'll be super excited, as I've always wanted to try this strain! Can't wait to get out there tomorrow and get some shit going. New pictures this weekend.

Well...plans have changed a bit.

As of tonight the two 110w t5s/fan/filter are on the way and the flowering tent is on backorder, but that's fine as I'm going to top the plant that's in there tomorrow morning and then give it another week or two to blow up and fix the potassium deficiency before I take cuttings and flip the switch on her

Semi-final specs:

-150w HPS/2 110-w T5 for veg, 400w HPS + 150w HPS for flower (yes, the veg setup is a little on the ghetto side, CMH will come but I've got a whole other perpetual to set up and I'd rather have my money in that one than this one)
-2x2 tent for veg, 4x4 tent for flowering
-Passive intake > 4" carbon filter > 4" inline > exhaust (6" inline setup coming soon for flowering chamber)
-Organic soil, perlite, castings

Currently have 4 Shiskaberry X Dutch Treat and a mix of 4 seeds from locally grown crosses (3 bagseeds, 1 from breeder) germinating. I'm leaning towards just throwing the cuts in the fridge and staggering it so they don't get past the 2-3 week ideal stasis threshold. I'll take 4 clones from the plant that's in there now and flower it out for a couple of months in the dr60 just to give the setup a test run and get a quick yield to hold us over.

Humidity is looking good, temperature is a little on the high side but with only a week or two left to veg and the inline on the way, I'm not at all worried about it. Seeing as how it loved it outside in average 85 degree temperatures for the first 16 days of its life, 80-82 for a few days ain't gonna kill it.

soil is a little alkaline @ around 7, I'd like to knock it down a bit but I want to give it a week to clear up the potassium issue before making any changes, as things are going well

more to come soon

Hey thanks man! I'm glad the sister relented a bit and is allowing a few more square feet of room to play Mad Scientist. Interested to see how these little Dark Room tents do, I've always built my own cabs or done sealed rooms. REALLY looking forward to the Shiska, can't wait.

Kicked a few necrotic lower fans to the curb today, actually basically put em in stasis to try rooting them some time in the near future just for shits and grins :moon:

Also tried the FIM technique instead of normal topping for the first time...here's hoping for good results :woohoo:
