ok im leaving for 5 days to go to the island and i got 4 babys, i drew up a little diagram on paint with my idea, basicly i have 4 plants in syrofoam cups and i take a pin and poke a frew holes in each cup just enough that the water preshure should provide a very slow drip, and im only gone 5 days...so i think it should do the trick, but i figured i better get the approval of a few pro's...

Assuming you have drainage holes in the bottom of the cups (if you don't you really should) the wicking action of the soil will draw the water in for you. However, sitting in standing water is not a good thing at all. You would be much better served by using a seperate container of water and some cotton string/rope as a wick into the soil.

Use some cotton cloth or string to wick the water to the plants. It'll provide enough but not too much irrigation.
