got about 20wx15lx7h to work with can run an ac,would like to run a drip/drain to waist on tables, any input on what you would do to maximize this
space would be appreciated,

1st question on tables im used to using 3x3s but seems like the 1000s would
do a little more justice to a 4x4 footprint wise

2d question im always paranoid about odor exhaust if i run a negative pressure setup through a carbon filter something like a 12 out and a 10 in should i be good odor wise?

3d question is ac's what kind of btu's and actual kind of air conditioning unit
am i looking to purchase cant see the portables doing squat

4th question would be if anyone has done any tests on air cooled lights
in the way of lumen loss with the glass on them, realisticly i cant see
doing this without aircooled lights,i know thats kind of a lame question
bu i see all these photos of setups without air cooled lights and i dont know how people do it must have some monster ac's

Definitely go with the 4x4 tables for 1k's...if you're doing a SOG/Scrog you can even go as big as 5x5 since you won't need as much light penetration.

Match your scrubber's CFM rating to the fan. The rating of a scrubber is the point where 99.5% of the odor molecules will be trapped by the carbon. If you move more air through it than it's rated for, then odor can make it out the exhaust.

Trying to run an AC with a vented room is gonna be a big waste of power - the exhaust fan is just going to suck out the cool air as quick as you can make it.

How many lights are you planning on running?
How experienced are you with growing and room setups?

You might find that it's going to be much simpler to just run a sealed room with AC/dehum/CO2....

cool thanks for the heads up on the 4x4S
i have had experience growing plants hydroponicly before
never actually had to set up the room myself however have an electrician
to help me with that scope of the project and i personally have carpentry skills.
i would like to go as big as the temperature will let me
ive seen setups where basicly it looks to me as people cant access some of there garden that seems insane to me,but i guess if your super dialed in
and have multiple runs under your belt in a controlled enviorment that is feasable, not my style though i would go nuts not knowing if 1 plant started getting pm or mites, then whole crop goes down the tubes
the ac is the big mystery factor to me as i dont know how many 1ks i can get away with in 20x15x7

You could run 15k in there if you could control the temps...but that's not exactly a beginner setup to do if you're not familiar with setting up rooms. 2 rows of 5k would be a better fit IMO so that you'll have some room for aisles to walk down. The rule of thumb for AC's is 3400btu's per 1k of light - if you air cool the hoods and have all the ballasts out of the grow area, you might be able to get away with 2000-2500btu's per 1k. Climate will play a major role as well, so if you live in a hot/humid area plan on bumping the AC up a few thousand btu's.

Climate control is going to be your biggest problem tho...are you planning on running it sealed or vented? If your outdoor climate is forgiving enough, you can just vent the shit out of the entire room - but if you live in a coastal area, that probably won't work well due to the RH.

i can run it sealed just not really sure on how to 100% to airtight a room
ive seen that people use the white poly from places like home depot
just not sure how exactly to do it my self, the place will be a in a coastal
heavily residential area where smell is a big issue with relaltively temperate climates probably the average temp on any given day is in the mid to upper 50s save a handfull of days a year its very foggy where i live

I did mine in Panda film with a zipper door to get in...it's probably not 100% sealed, but it's close enough. HD doesn't have white poly around here...you might be lucky and have it where you're at, but you'll probably have to buy a roll of Panda at a hydro shop/online store.

I setup my 2k with a scrubber recirculating air in the room and there's no odor unless you rub on the plants.

the white poly was an assumption on my part so my bad guess i would go
with the panda then.how do you actually seal it with tape, and then spray some type of sealent over the tape? or is the tape good enough and what kind of tape would be the best sorry if these are newb questions

I just stapled mine about every 6" or so to the ceiling and floor. Overlap the joints (if there are any) and staple it then go over it with some foil backed tape. The foil tape will hold it for a few months on it's own, but combined with staples it'll be there until you want to remove it.
