Need old head help (presses)

You guys know allot about some shit that isn't around much anymore.
smoking stones, stuff like that.

So have you ever seen a press that presses into SPHERES, all I can find are these damn puck/coin presses. But I know there has to be a press that does this. I mean seriously how could there have only been coin presses since the begging of time?

side note- triangle or square presses would be cool too.

I would have to look to figure out what parts to use, but it should be possible. If you use pipe type fittings to tighten the press, or a c-clamp, you just have to find the round mold pieces to use in either type of press. It would not be the same density of compression. Most ball hash is hand rubbed. You could also do it in a fabric twist, like a cross between lebanese bags and kashmari twist hashes.

edit - a melon baller could be modified to do it.

bowgrinder I have a 2 ton press that i use the end from a down spout, roof drain pipe, i cut 2" tall, It is oval but has two flat sides. My best guess for you would be a canon ball mold, or down rigger ball mold and use a press like mine...best of luck..DD

Sounds like an 'eight ball press' Seen one of these years ago when me and my college friends all had monkeys on their backs. Looked kinda like two egg cartons in a large press, each of the corners was a threaded rod and a sorta c-clamp design. I am pretty sure this was homemade though, the guy was one of those weird appalachian-meth types from W Va, very scary dude...but I also know he was a welder/fabricator. A quick search on the 'net for 'eight ball press' yielded no results.... Also seen a 'tablet press' for E, they make smiley faces and shit here's a good example of one: tabletpress dot net. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

I love the dabloons! (dry sieve coins)

A scrap of PVC, c-clamp & a handful of coins works fine for me.

Try some sharp Buffalo Head Nickels, makes a cool imprint ;)
