need legal advice plzz help

hey everyone,my friends in a situation and needs some legal advice,i would like to help him but am not sure what i should tell him exactly,ok let me tell u what happened.my friend's friend had stolen a radio,well in a nearby city theyre were some carjackings.they found the cars eventually but without radios.well my friend is somewhat friends with the dude that stole the cars/radios.the cops know that dude stole them,well the radio my friend's friend had stolen,was takein to someone he knew to be sold.only the dude that bought it went to the cops (unknown fucked up reason)and told them who he had purchased it from.well seein how their were cars stolen in a nearby city,and my friend talked to the person that did it they decided that the dude in the other city sold it to my friend and my friend sold it to this other dude.well now the cops are tryin to get him for receiving stolen property.my ? is this should he tell them he stole it hiself or should he say he received it,and which would be a lesser sentence or fine if there is a fine?

My advice would be to get yourself some better friends or you may find yourself needing legal advice later on down the road.

he didnt receive any stolen property,the cops think he did.I was just asking which would be better to tell the cops(as in which do u think would be a lesser penalty)he really dosent hang out with the guy,its more like a ocassion get together and drink ya know.i understand what ya mean about the cross-fire.had it happen a few times.altho i dont condone what he did and i think he needs to grow up like me,but he still needs legal advice and i will help him if i can.2 the few of u hatein theives,this really isnt a bash theives thread.he does deserve what he gets.But correct me if im wrong,i thought these forums were for help,which is something u 3 arent doing.not tryin to be rude but really,stop postin i hate theives we all hate theives but thats not what the thread is about.later

he didn't receive the stolen property, HE stole it according to what you said earlier, so he deserves what he gets! remember, nothing says you shouldn't of done that like a bloody asshole!

good advice moose.i will give him every point u have made,as u seem to pretty clear minded.i told him when i first saw the dude there was something weird about him.thorodee and anyone else,im sorry i confused u what i meant to say was my friends friend stole the stereo and the dude that stole it gave it to My friend,then my friend gave it to someone he knows.the dude that paid for the stereo snitched my friend out.so now he can either go to the cops tell them that he had stole the radio his self or he could tell the truth that his friend gave it to him
