Hi All
I've been in the planning stages forever and need a little direction with my grow space. I have a garage in the middle of nowhere. I call it a blank canvass. It has a small electrical panel in it with two 15 amp breakers and one 240 line that an electric stove was plugged into. The dimensions of the garage are 16' x 30' so its pretty big. It's 15' tall in the center at the peek and 8' tall at he side walls. I have to insulate and dry wall the whole garage. I can put a flat ceiling in at 8' or I can vault the ceiling As most of the horizontal rafters are cut out. In one corner it has a larger Modine propane heater hanging from the ceiling that is vented through the roof. It blows air over heated elements and easily heats the whole garage. It also has a 12" exhaust fan on the roof venting to the outside through a 12" exhaust hole. I'm in the northeast USA so it will be really cold in the winter and relatively cool in the summer as the garage is basically under a lot of trees and in a real shady spot.
So I'm thinking of doing:
1) 2 flower rooms
2) 1 vegetation room
3) 1 mother/clone room
4) 1 work/storage area
Some basic questions I need to figure out are
a) How, if at all can I heat all rooms with the Modine heater?
b) Should I vault the ceiling for maximum room and height or put in a flat ceiling at 8' for heating efficiency?
c) I'm unsure of the "air flow" required in each room. Especially the veg room and the flower rooms. Should they be air tight rooms or should the have a fresh air intake and exhaust with constant air exchange or at least for heat removal?
Those are some basic questions that I'm wrestling with. I think if I get those planned out I can get started a little easier. As for right now I'm just spinning my wheels. I'm debating just to do two rooms maybe: a veg/clone/mother room and a flower room. Maybe that would simplify things.
