Need help with grow setup please!

Hi,
I am in the process of setting up a grow space in an apartment where both stealth and odor control will be a top priority. I currently have a plant that is reaching 3 weeks into flower so I need to get things setup quick as it is starting to smell. I am not so concerned about going cheap here as I really want to get this done right.

So far I have purchased:

-a small grow tent(lighthouse) which measures 32" x 32" x 84".

-A TD 150s Silent inline fan (6")

-A 6" Phresh Carbon Filter (6" x 16") rated at 400cfm

Here are my concerns:

1) Ok so I am reading everywhere that I should have gotten a Filter that is rated for twice the amount of cfm as this particular inline fan but the thing is I need to fit this sucker in my tent and theres no way I'm fitting an 8'' x 24" filter along with this oversized TD silent fan in there. Will I be ok with the 6" x 16" filter? Will it not function properly with the fan? I don't want to mess the fan up. I will return the fan and get a stronger one if it is necessary. Please advise.

2) My tent is rather small (32" x 32" x 84") and the oversized 150 TD Silent fan that I purchased has both a high(333cfm) and a low (239cfm) setting. Will the low setting be quiet enough and not overly powerful or should I buy a variac speed controller to lower it even more?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I think the 6x16 filter will be enough. If cfm is a issue then a fan speed controller would be a good investment. It will control how strong ur fans are working at to ur preferences. Also, u can get sum strains that are not very powerful in smell that can also help ur stealth. And also the fan speed controller will reduce the noise it makes. If u can hang ur inline fan and use sumthing to compress it, it will reduce noise as well.. I use a 4 x4 grow tent and a 1000 watter with a 440 cfm inline fan. Im not up to date with smaller tents or equipment so i cant go too much into detail with this issue but there are tons of growers here who has experience with it so im sure u will find out more. Good luck with everything and best wishes

I use a speed controller for 2 reasons..
1. Its takes the noise down a couple levels
2. I think 440 cfm is a little to much for a 4x4

It not much but it works for me and u can easily find a speed controller on ebay around $15-$20. Its cheap so its not too much arm pulling involved

I wonder if it would make much of a difference in terms of air flow if I were to use a 6" x 24" carbon filter rated at 550cfm instead of the 6" x 16" carbon filter rated at 400cfm? I just don't want to stress out the motor of the fan from the restriction of the smaller filter. I will be using this fan on the low setting and might even control it down more if that matters at all.

The fan and filter will not be an issue for either. The only problem i see is maybe the noise the fan will make but theres multiple ways of fixing that issue.. Thats kinda a big fan for such small space but a speed controller will fix dat right up
